Republicans are supposed to nominate republicans and democrats are supposed to nominate democrats.
I hate the fact that in some states they allow crossover votes in primaries.
I don't want democrats involved in picking the GOP nominee.
Admit nothing. Deny everything. Make counter accusations.

Doesn't Mass have that odd primary rule about ONLY unaffiliated voters being able to vote in the primes??
      Um....No.

Then it must be the opposite. Unaffiliated voters can participate in both primaries.

Fair enough. I don't agree, but ok.

The DNC aren't much better. They rigged their own election for Hillary. They thought she was the clear cut runaway winner, and Bernie was old and out of touch.
I liked Bernie. People were too stuck on his 'socialist' policies, as though he was a throwback to an old Communist regime. Of course Social Security, Welfare, Food Stamps and many other socialist type programs are ignored for being exactly that.
Bernie would have beaten Donald. The DNC, with their "Super Delegates" that were the downfall for him, miscalculated how tired people were of the political corruption and political status quo that Hillary represented.
How do we get any semblance of power back in the hands of the people?
            The power of the vote.
We all agree that most in both parties are corrupt. So, forget about pulling a party lever and Vote Out Incumbent Candidates Everywhere... VOICE.
If we do that in 2 years, they will all take serious note. Imagine the media reporting that 80% of the incumbents lost? The winners will recognize why they won, and will not be so quick to fall under the power of the lobbyists that buy their votes. Those who were not part of that general election will realize that they will be gone next unless they quit giving us lip service and lying only to vote as their benefactors tell them.
And, of course, we need term limits for them all. The President has term limits (Thank God)... so should all the rest.

Personally, I thought he was/is a nutjob. Theres no way to pay for everything he was proposing. Him and Warren, all they do is grandstand. I think he could have beaten Donald though. The DNC was rigged for Hillary. If I were a Dem that would have turned me off to the party big time. And yes for term limits.

                • I don't view Social Security as a socialist program. You put into it, you get it back. It's not a privilege. It's a ****ing contract. Then someone had to "complain" that there was an overage in...what was it, like 2000, as if it was a ****ing mistake.

                    • A lot of my right-leaning friends who work in law enforcement will be quick to complain about paying into socialist programs, calling a lot of people who they have run-ins with as "welfare queens" and the like....

I have to constantly remind them that they are employed due to a socialist program and that it's the reason they can make 6-figure salaries with all the OT they can eat.

Of course there was no way to pay for it all. It was dreaming. Or, was it?
He intended to pay for it by decreasing the military budget substantially and increasing Corporate taxes.
As it turned out, yes, all he was doing was grandstanding, because when it came down to his convictions he backed out real quick after meeting with Hillary.
And, I think you're right, unfortunately... Liz Warren is also all about grandstanding.

Is it possible to find a truly honest politician?

It wasn't going to be Bernie, and it wasn't going to be Kasich. A vote to either of them meant a wider margin for Trump, and I didn't want that on my conscience.

Election night I was like Carlito dying in the subway....

Perfectly fair to put that on people. Do something that helps the problem or you are part of the problem. I don't see how that is not fair.
