nascar is maybe the second favorite sport and Hockey barely registers a blip on the radar..hillbillies lol</p>
LOL

Hockey used to be one of the 4 major sports, but that lockout killed it man.... you lose a whole season like that? You lose fans.

At least when the NBA had their lockout they had half of a reg season and a playoffs

more people watch a nascar event then a single baseball game...

        i accept that

u've yet to bring forward ANY stats that say otherwise
NO Dude, noone is saying it that way, noone is saying more people watch a single nascar race compared to a single baseball game, we are saying that all together a weeks worth of Nascar and a weeks worth of MLB...ALL THE TEAMS....more people watch the Nascar Coverage across america MMB...
well to what you are saying... no way in hell lol

and landon is the one using the 17 of the 20 biggest events are nascar...

        thats landons argument
He's used multiple sources to prove how massive the fan base is, it's not specificly to point out that the single events are higher, its because better stats...the ones that would prove without a shadow of a doubt we are right (even though its already pretty much an accepted fact) don't seem to exist...we are stuck showing ratings from single events cause that's all that exists.

you can say I'm wrong about it, but I'm not, it's already understood pretty much everywhere...there are more fans of NASCAR then every single baseball team combined... thus..on any given night, Nascar race vs ALL OF BASEBALL...Nascar wins.
daven please don't tell me grabbing a random city that had people watch more nascar was a legit source...

and again, u hvae ZERO stat to prove that...

go get jersey neilson ratings and show them so i could have the same credible "sources".

picking up a random syracuse neilson rating does not prove anything... its an attempt to sway opinion, but really holds on water

No it isn't bro. That was just a point in the article. I already told you this bro.

My argument is that Nascar is the 2nd most watched sport in the US and it is not an argument because it is a FACT!!!

heres just a random blip i got with the yes network...

The Yankees are hot, and so are their ratings.

The YES Network has finished first in New York primetime ratings in 27 of its last 29 game nights.

The network, which is averaging a 4.5 household rating for its Yankee telecasts, scored a 7.4 rating on August 7 when the Yankees beat the Blue Jays -- its best since 2005.

On August 6, YES’ Yankees Classics program, which featured the 1979 matchup between the Yankees and Orioles on the day Yankee captain Thurman Munson was buried, pulled in the networks highest rated program in its history.

After the All-Star Break (July 12 to present), Yankee game ratings have increased 11.4% from before the break on the network.

During the July sweeps period in 2007, the network had a 23.3% increase (5.3 rating) compared to the July sweeps in 2006 (4.3 rating).

Bull go get Manhattans, I guarentte they still go to Nascar, the only place it might be CLOSE is in LA since LA was playing and Sacramento cause Sacramento was playing, and I'd be willing to put money down that NASCAR STILL wins the ratings in one of those two cities...you really fail to understand just how massive NASCAR is.

you are trying to compare Target to Walmart... it's apples to oranges man... Football and Nascar are on a whole different plan when it comes to TV ratings.

Yes, Daytona is just one race..its not worth more points then any other race infact its not even the last race of the year yet it beats out the most important baseball event of the year...and it's fine if YOU don't want the World Series...but most baseball fans do...you are watching basketball right now aren't you? so am I and I'm not really a fan of any of these teams.

Nascar Clearly wins on a weekly basis as far as veiwers...I will say though I'm surprised the World Series cam close to the Daytona 500 though, I'm wondering how they did it, was it all 7 games added together? averaged? who knows.
