THEE NYG SWAG THREAD

Well i got a good deal from Jay Dees after talking to the owner and he put us down. This place is perfect and is like a mile from the Stadium right on route 17. Its next to the Meadowlands Diner (a couple of buildings before).

Top shelf not included, open bar. But **** top shelf, i got him to include the shots in to hte price for hte open bar.

So $35 per person, 4-8 (4 hour open bar) on April 25th. They have a menu and a good grill from what I hear, but food isn't included. I really have no way of guaranteeing him a number so I couldn't work out the buffet. Although I did tell him we'd have 20-50 people here.

I did post a video link few years ago here from a band I was working with at the time but I have no idea how to find it either here or on youtube. Again, that's probably for the best!
    thanks man

You really can't comprehend why people choose not paying for something they can get for free?

I miss the days of going to a music store and buying a new CD or cassette. Same with going to blockbuster to rent a movie. It sounds weird but the process of doing those things were enjoyable imo. Having everything at the tip of your fingers these days make it less enjoyable I feel.

let's say the cover for a 200 crowd bar is $10 a piece..let's say you get 50 people to pay it. That's 500 bucks. The club owner takes half (if he's even honest) and your band splits 250.....which is 50 a man for a 5 piece.

The radio station and Pandora have the rights to play the song for their audience. In some cases on you tube it is illegally posted, but they are good about copyright infringement there. Another way to legally get music free is to go to the library. Most have an extensive music collection, as well as movies, audiobooks and of course books. Downloading a pirated version off the internet is different than these legal ways of obtaining music. I'm not really sure why that is confusing to you.

Although iirc VH came out in the late '70s. Because I remember - although just barely - them opening for Black Sabbath at the Garden.

Man, they blew Sabbath off the stage. And that was hard to admit because I was there for Sabbath and had never heard of VH.
