The fraud case has been settled.

It was all an extortion attempt. If Eli wasn't at this point in his career, he would have been able to waste some time in court and put the con in his place.

      I figured as such.

I'm glad it's now over for Eli.

I posted in another thread that in a lawsuit like this you drag in anyone with deep pockets.

Must you always speak on Eli's behalf?

It also helps when the person being accused has deep pockets.

Me too. I didn't expect it to amount to much but it wouldn't go away either. A settlement made sense for everyone involved.

Settled or not, isn't the NFL still going to have to investigate the matter? A lack of charges of legal guilt hasn't stopped the league in other cases.

No surprise. If I was one of those posters that searched for my old posts to show I stated this months ago, I would.

But I'm not. So you're all just gonna have to take my word for it. Or not.

Either way is OK by me.

I don't think the NFL wants any more attention drawn to another portion of their business that is not being managed.

Nah, they are not gonna open that can of worms. And Coach Patricia will need their full attention soon enough.

No wonder he hasn't played well last year.
