  • Brandon Albert is coming out of retirement, but......

The Jaguars don't want him back. The situation is extremely weird. Based on the article below, cutting him makes him pay back over 3 mil in bonus money and bringing him back keeps his contract as is. The giants' tackle situation is in shambles. If the dolphins do indeed cut him as expected, giants should sign him IMO.

Doesn't seem like the guy wants to play any more.

I would still do it. He can play and is way better than any tackle that is on our roster. I'm pretty sure that Ereck Flowers has a lot of heart. The problem is that he isn't any good.

Whilst he wanted to retire, he also wanted a new contract a few weeks ago. Plus he was likely pissed at having been traded to a wreck of a team like the Jags. We're clearly not getting all the story but if he still wants to play and does get released somehow then he has to be an upgrade.

            This.
It seems to me his decision of coming out of retirement is based mainly on money.

My response to that is money is the main motivator for anyone trying to find a job. He basically owes the jags a few million dollars, realized that he doesn't have the means to pay them back that bonus, and has to come and play football in order to pay them back. I would give him a 1-2 year deal with a lot of incentives. Make him work for his money. He would be an immediate starter on this oline.

The giants should be calling him up like yesterday.
