I could be wrong. it just appears to me that jackson Is THAT good. The other guy is josh rosen..but he isn't mobile.... so i cant get behind him for the WCO. Jackson OTOH appears like he is taylor made for this version of the WCO.

i love tebow but the guy could not throw a pass to save his life. jackson can throw really well from what i can tell.

bottom line: ya never know, but for our particular offense we are running, i can't imagine a much better QB prospect especially considering darnold likely stays in school, and how darnold has been struggling.

i think when you are picking that high, you have an aging QB you have to go for it. just my humble opinion.
    That's fair enough, my friend

Baker Mayfield....besides the dumb arrest for public intoxication...looks like a real deal QB prospect>>>>

should have enough mobility to evade some pass rushers & extend plays, one would hope.....

lamar jackson has the best throwing motion mechanics in the entire draft class.......... he is much better this year throwing than he was last year... keeps the ball high...short quick motion... a thing of beauty if you ask me

sam darnold, not so much...very long motion... drops the ball down below his hips prior to his throwing motion...

not sure if it matters much for darnold since he is so talented....but

darnold obviously has a stronger arm...but jackson's arm isn't weak... he has enough strength i think.

IMO jackson is the guy..even above darnold and rosen...

the only knock i see on jackson is he does not interview well.... but i don't want the guy to sell cars... i want him to be a great QB...He is that; a GREAT QB. He has the potential to be one of the best we've ever seen in the NFL. I'm not saying he will, just that the potential is there.

And even though he may not be the best talker he seems like a kind hearted, likable kid... that goes along way. face of the franchise leadership qualities are his weak point, but that talent....man o man...... that talent.

WTF are you smoking dude..i have repeatedly watched this guy miss wide open receivers. Ya he is a great athlete and at time he HAS made great throws at times but those are not very consistent at all.

                    4. Lamar Jackson, Louisville

                    Stock Steady

Could Louisville get Jackson some help on offense? Goodness. His offensive line is average at best. His wide receivers are about as reliable as the weather forecast, and his running backs are mediocre. I thought Jackson was good, but not great against a loaded NC State defense.

There were the typical scintillating escapes from free rushers -- quite the luxury for an offensive coordinator -- and the new-and-improved step-up-from-pressure accurate throws downfield. Jackson is absolutely carrying his team this year, and the maturation he's showcased as a passer this season will (rightfully) intrigue many NFL GMs and scouts.

                          http://www.espn.com/ncf/qbr

jackson is number 9 in qbr in 2017 with bad oline bad receivers and bad RB..... so he is a top thrower among college Qbs

plus he is lamar jackson elite...in his own class as far as his running/mobility.......

                          what more could anyone want?

                          plus he keeps improving...

the potential is there IMO..... not my fault if you can't see it

what is hillarious? some author of an article has him number 4, so what? He has the potential to be great. i really can't understand anyone not agreeing with that.
