Threw the first No-Hitter in NY Mets History tonight in an 8-0 Victory.
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
    2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
    3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
    4-New York Giants!!!
    5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

He threw 134 Pitches. The game was not without Contraversy as former Met Carlos Beltran hit a Ball down third base Line that replays showed hit the chalk in sixth inning. The Ump called it foul.

It's a beautiful night! This is the most fun I have had as a Mets fan since 2006. How fitting that this came against the Cardinals! The only additional poetic justice that could have occurred was a Yadier Molina final out, but hey, no complaints here. My philosophy on the Beltran potential hit is that it is nullified by the countless "bad breaks" that the Mets have suffered over the years...it's about time we get a lucky break for once.

If that had been a foul ball ruled fair, and it had robbed Santana of a rightful no hitter, Met's announcers and fans would have been screaming for that Umpire's head, but we're just supposed to ignore the fact that Santana actually gave up what should have been a hit, simply because the bad call worked in Santana's favor?
What a load of hypocritical crap!
If you agreed that Armando Gallaraga was "robbed" of a perfect game, you can't possibly celebrate the "no hitter" by Santana.
          "I'M ALL FOR IT!"

So this is just the same. It's in real time and it's a millisecond for him to make that calll. He saw it as foul. So it's foul. Just as when those guys were called safe when they should of been out and guys lost no hitters because of it. It's a judgment call. I am fine with it.

                  Re: Johan Santan***

Because after all the crap Mets fans have been through, and after 8019 games of having guys come short, most people are willing to turn a blind eye. You are ignoring the fact that there were some people who dismissed Joyce's call in the Galaraga game, saying it's the "human element" of the game..but tbh anyone crusading against Johan Santana coming off serious shoulder surgery and pitching the Mets very first no-no is in danger of coming off like a serious jerk...

Until major league baseball gives the Managers "Challenges" lik in the NFL and they can go to Instant Replay to decide the play in question then these type things will continue to happen. It's human error but part of the game. Live withit cause we all know MLB will never allow Replays to that extent

It's funny you say that, because I have taken that approach with Tim Tebow since he was drafted. It drives me nuts when people are SO SURE that a guy is going to fail. I'm just like, c'mon Timmy prove them wrong! Hahaha. Now that he's with the Jets though, it's gonna be hard to root for him.

Not a Met fan here although good for them. I know you guys haven't had anything good to cheer about in a while

My friend, who is a fan, called me elated about the no-hitter.
