<font size="4"><font size="3">JETS' WIDE RECEIVER SANTONIO HOMES NOT HAPPY ABOUT TOO MANY PRACTICE REPS

"</font></font>The Jets chose not to move on
    from <a href="/nfl/players/playerpage/413021/santonio-holmes">Santonio
    Holmes</a> this offseason, even though his <a href="http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22475988/34137512">Week 17
benching</a> was a microcosm of the dysfunction that plagued the team down the
stretch in 2011. On Thursday, some six weeks before the start of training camp,
a frustrated Holmes took himself out of practice because he felt he was the
    victim of <a href="http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/rapid-reports/post/19290971">too
    many practice reps</a>.

"I was talking to the coach, letting him
understand it was too many reps today," said Holmes, who missed several
voluntary workouts while visiting American troops in Germany (via the <a href="http://www.nypost.com/p/blogs/jetsblog/tired_holmes_pulls_himself_out_of_wdPPpk3umvC9rYP6 zhlzBL">New

</a>). "I've been gone for a while, so I can't be at full tempo
like the rest of the guys and where they want us to be at."

    Holmes'
comments were preceded by what ESPNNewYork.com
Rich Cimini called a "mini-meltdown" as he limped off the field and tossed his
helmet. The receiver said he was supposed get 35 practice reps but only made it
through 20 or 25. It was the team's ninth OTA practice but just the fifth
    session for Holmes.

Unlike January, however, when coach Rex Ryan <a href="http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22475988/34604031">admitted that
he needed to fix his locker room</a>, there were no such concerns in light of
what happened on the practice field Thursday, particularly if a player is
    concerned about injury.

"If he thinks he'd be stretching it to give five
or 10 extra reps, you have to be smart about it," Ryan said.
"If a guy thinks he's tight ... you don't want a guy pulling (a muscle). He
knows his body better than anybody."

    In other Jets-related news: Holmes
tweeted Wednesday that he would attend quarterback Mark Sanchez's Jets West
passing camp later this summer along with most of the team's other
    skill-position players."

“Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.” MB Rule # 1

The guy really needs the lose the attitude. He makes plays, but he needs an attitude adjustment. Nothing wrong with saying, I'm not there yet and taking a break but to have a "Mini-Meltdown" is just the wrong thing to do as a "Veteran Player".

The Steelers are one of the best organizations in football and let this guy go for basically nothing (a 5th round pick).</P>

The Jets decided that it would be a good idea to back the money truck up for the same guy.</P>

There is a reason why the Jets are the Jets. . . . . .</P>
