    MEMBER OF NEGOTIATING TEAM: REFS NOT OPPOSED TO WORKING FULL TIME

    Excerpt: "A member of the negotiating team of NFL Refeeres Association, representing the locked out officials, said officials would be happy to work full-time--if they were paid like officials from Major League Baseball.
    "It's interesting that the league would decide to highlight these issues when they haven't been a central part of the negotiations to date," said the official, who asked not to be identified. "As far as working full-time, we are at every game and perform all the duties that they request from us. However, if they want to talk about paying us like the baseball guys where a 20-year veteran makes over $400,000 a year, has complete medical coverage and has a nice defined benefit retirement program, we are open to that discussion."
