Game was lost with that bad clock management at the end of the half. they had been dominated most of 1st half being down 17-0. then they go on 80yard drive to close gap to 10. prior to half they had golden opp to make it a 3pt game or at least a 7pt game at worst when they were set up 1st and goal. hard to fathom brees would make that short throw knowing he had no timeouts and allowing clock to expire prior to him being able to spike it. should of just thrown ball away. if they had gotten points there it would have been huge considering they were getting ball 1st to start second half. very unbrees like with the 5/6 INTs and 0 Tds.

His consecutive games with a TD pass is gone now also. At 5-7 I think their playoff hopes are gone. They'll come prepared for the Giants next Sunday, but I think if the Giants jump out to a double digit lead the Saints will lay down and play dead.

God knows why they abandoned the run in the second half. They did nothing yo take pressure off of Brees, even though it was obvious he was struggling.

You are not alone. Last night it looked like they practiced their chant quite a bit...or rehearsed...whatever. Maybe if they would have put that much time into actually practicing football they might have done better last night. Did you ever notice how Brees seems to always know when the camera is on him?

Still not getting it quite. Brees is great. That's the point. Not nifty stats. Even a great player screws the pooch. We can say what we want about E, but one nice thing we can say for sure is that he hasn't thrown five picks in a game lol

The point is for how much Eli is ragged on here for making dumb decisions that result in INT's, he has never thrown 5 really dumb ones in a single game.

the saints only real shot at the playoffs is that second wild card and right now they have tampa, minnesota, and seattle in front of them. the first wild card will most likely go to whoever finishes second in the nfc north.

    I hope not.

Stevie Brown might have something to say about that.

Changed the complexion of the game, really. Not to mention Ingram dropped a TD screen, not sure if that drive resulted in a TD. Sloppy play all around, not really out of character for road teams on Thursday night. Still surprised we dominated Carolina despite everything that was seemingly going against us. Whatever, Brees has the rest of the year to pad his stats, Saints season is over. I can see us dominating them next week, we'll probably be 4.5+ point favorites.
yeah i was rooting for them to lose BIG time bc theyd be a different monster if they had won and next week was a do or die game...now there will have to be some residual effects from fighting all that way back only to lose and have to start all over

to be fair, 7 ints in 2 weeks is bad but one of the d's was SF. although, the 3 game slump eli had was vs dallas and pitt who are 2 of the top 3 pass d's iirc...i dunno. i know brees is tremendous and no doubt elite, but he has had issues with ints almost as badly as eli, and in some instances worse...but yeah brees leads the nfl in ints now, im curious to hear simms discuss brees, itd be awesome if someone asked him if he thought brees wasnt elite now just bc im curious to hear his opinion
