He has just been released and I know he has attitude problems, but do you think the vets and Coughlin could straighten him out? I think he could be brought in pretty cheap. What do you think?

Vet min for him would be pretty cheap, so if he'd come at that price, sure.

Giants wanted him originally, Raiders snagged him early and now's an opportunity to get him for free. Should be a no brainer, especially when it's a position of need.

Have to put in a waiver claim to get him, and then pick up his contract.

Unless he clears waivers. Then he can sign for minimum.

He's been a really bad player though

No, he is a bad player and a moron to boot. He would be a downgrade to what we currently have.

How can someone regarded so highly in the draft....be so darn bad? I know there are other examples of this, but I still think its pretty amazing.

I am pretty sure he is better than any 4th or 5th round guy we would draft and try and develop in a couple years. YES of course try and sign him for as little as possible. But let's not miss an opportunity here. Giants need a LB. As for his worth... I don't remember him doing much in the past few years, but I don't remember hearing much from anyone on that team. I would love to hear that we picked him up. I am sure JR will do his homework and make sure his head is on straight before we take him, but it looks like it's worth the risk.

Missed this guy in the draft........I was all about him......I also think if he was brought up in the Giants system he would be Patrick Willis'esque at this point in his career.......
