  • Falcons just made D. Freeman ....

Highest paid RB in the NFL with a 5 year Contract Extension worth 8.25 a year & giving him 41.25 M in new money. Wow
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
    2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
    3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
    4-New York Giants!!!
    5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

No comments about this Contract the Falcons gave him
I guess it's because it's buried here in " General Sports". Heck it's only had 10 views since 830 this morning and I'm a few of them, lol

He is a good back. He was a big part of their run last season.
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it.

Is he an 8.25 M a year RB though or are there others, perhaps many others in the league you'd take over him if given a choice?

Apparently he is . It depends on the system. He fits what Atlanta does. If you go back and look at Demarco Murray in Philly, he could not get any traction. He moves to Tennessee and he had almost 1300 yards. It is more about the fit with a RB.

I agree. That's his value to the Falcons and their offense, not any one else nor to some standard. He's very explosive.
