The law is irrelevant to the code of conduct requirements in the NFL. So is the burden of proof.
Admit nothing. Deny everything. Make counter accusations.

This evidence revealed that the photos that were posted matched the metadata on her phone. And those pictures were taken the date the altercations occurred.

For the record, the DA didn't have that metadata when they investigated the case.

Additionally, the DA admitted to the NFL that he believed the victim, but did not prosecute because he felt there wasn't enough evidence to meet the burden of proof, which in this case would have been the highest standard.
Torque it till it breaks, then back off a 1/4 turn.

Yup. A yearlong suspension or a permanent ban.

Successful or not I bet he plays week one against us.

I'm not so sure about that. If he gets it cut in half or say reduced to 4 games it will still start in week 1

Their Schedule has NY, Denver & GB on it, three pretty tough games. The other three out of first six games he could be out are AZ, the Rams and SF three teams they should be able to beat without him

If he prolongs his suspension the next four games are the Skins, Falcons, KC & the Eagles.. He'd better be back for those Four
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

                # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
                2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
                3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
                4-New York Giants!!!
                5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

There is no way the appeal will be resolved before weak. The Union will be granted a stay until the Appeal is decided. The process may last the entire season.

Was it like that with Brady?? I thought be he just served the first four games of the season or was it the prior year and he pushed it off till then

It dragged for a year. Brady appeal , Brady Federal Court Appeal, NFL court Appeal. Who got screwed in the end the tax payer that flipped the bill.

Well, I for one am impressed with the Cowboys for taking this situation so seriously and doing the right thing by cutting Lucky Whitehurst.

You're absolutely correct. There are so many victims that get silenced by tons of hush money. Amounts of money that they will never see in their lifetime. It can be extremely difficult for a victim to turn it down. At the point of acceptance, they become either non-cooperative, disappear, or fabricate the truth. Instances like that are why the NFL does its own investigation on matters like this. I just wish that they were like this in the past. Elliott also did himself no favors by his conduct since the incident.

Actually, Rappaport and Shefter were saying that the appeal will be heard and decided on prior to the season starting. Elliott has a timeframe to decide to appeal, the hearing has a timeframe, and a decision on that appeal has a timeframe. Those pictures from TMZ and the other evidence that the NFL has looks pretty damning.
