  • Costas Right To Rip Mets' Celebration

Celebrate in the clubhouse or in the dugout....... but not at home plate as though you just won a one game playoff for a trip to the playoffs!
Being a professional athlete means more than being on a major league club, it also means that you understand how to act appropriately when you're a bad team, squeezing out a victory in a meaningless game, that does nothing to advance you in the standings.....or make your horrible season any easier to stomach.
That over the top, pie in the face celebration was just as immature and unprofessional as anything Jordany Valdespin has been criticized by his teammates for doing!
A team that allowes 2 runs to score on multiple errors off the same infield hit, has no right to celebrate the way they did, or act insulted by anyone criticizing them for it.

And on a side note.....when are they going to STOP calling Home Runs "walk off "Home Runs??? There is no such thing as a "walk off" Home run because you don't WALK OFF after you hit it!
    "I'M ALL FOR IT!"

John McKay, HC of the 1976 winless TB Buccaneers, when asked by a reporter, how McKay felt, about the execution of his offense.

Speaking of overreaction, Costas called it the “indication of the ongoing decline of western civilization.”

So only winning teams can pie each other in the face?

They've had little to celebrate this season other then sweeping the Yankees and a late inning win here or there. I don't see a problem with it
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

      # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
      2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
      3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
      4-New York Giants!!!
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

I've been a miserable mets fan for 22 years now, and have experienced some pretty bad baseball in my life. but come on, seeing a pathetic team like that celebrate a little bit after having their ***** kicked as badly as they have been for now actually upsets people?

im sure every team before pie-ing one of their players goes into the clubhouse real quick to check if they improved their standings and are above .500 before they commence with their celebration
