  • Who else thinks the NFL is a piece of ****???

I love my Gmen but have to tell, you I hate the NLF and Goodell. I'm a soccer fan, where minimal coaching intervention, minimal subs, minimal rules prevail. You're a ****, you get red carded, you get banned next game. Easy. None of this appeals, agents, attorney's bull****. No kneeling. Andy Reid can't say **** about the *** play calling or he gets fined. I have to tell you, it's no wonder it's losing viewers.
Just when I don't think it can get any worse, I think of you Ray. I have been to the abyss....thank you for helping me stay positive.

Been going downhill for several years now.....
"Sir, I was wondering: did you happen to catch the professional football contest on television last night?"
    "No...I didn't."
"Oh it was most exhilarating: the Giants of NY took on the Packers of Green Bay and in the end the Giants triumphed by kicking an oblong ball made of pigskin through a big H. It was a most ripping victory."

I don't watch soccer so I don't know the rules. But I've been an NFL fan for forever, 60 plus years. But this year especially has turned me off. They had me 5 games a week Sunday 1pm, 4pm, Sunday night, Monday night, and Thursday night. This year being hypocritical of myself I still watched the Giants but did NOT watch any of the other games. Did NOT but any NFL gear for myself or my grandkids. Or anybody else in my family for that matter. Didn't wear any NFL gear all year neither. And I have Giant gear from decades that I can't wear it all in a season. Usually I also go to 1 or 2 games a year didn't go to any.

I was glad to see empty seats, was glad their viewership was down, and even though their a financial monster (around 9 Billion a year) it supposedly was hurt by the boycotts and people being disgusted. Hey this could be the first time maybe ever or in a long time the cap doesn't go up.

You wouldn't know it by the way I'm talking here but I love this league. That's why I felt so hurt the way politics influenced the league. I think there was cheating going on. Just attitudes around the league turned me off but I will be back and am just as avid a fan as always and in on the conversation of the board. I was just angry at them and by boycotting them in my own little way it was my way of yelling back at them. Money always talks. I saved a pretty good amount of money by not participating in their product.

Sorry it was so long if anybody bothered to read my little thread but It was my chance to vent a little.

lol As I read that I thought, "hmm you shouldn't admit that"

Ya know, I might watch soccer if they would start red carding players taking dives.

Well, they rely only on the refs eyes so itís hard for a red to know for sure unless he is right there and even then.

i would love to see slo-mo replay banned from the NFL and broadcast.

trhe only reason the nfl gets worked up about half this **** is they slow things down and look at it from 75 angles so then you start getting into crazy theoretical arguments about processes and football moves and all the other ****. NFL officiating is the worst in all of sports and should be done with computers and cameras only if they insist on keeping it this way. Either you use the refs eyes or you donít IMO
