Yankees make bad contracts but unlike the Knicks, they actually work for the most part for the front end of them. Knicks are by far one of the worst run organizations in professional sports.

      • It was 19 years ago today..

It was 19 years ago today, when 20 year old Derek Jeter hit his very first base hit of his future HOF career..
        Where does the time go??

          • The last few years no one has been less clutch with runners in scoring position then the Yanks. Pitcher throwing balls all over the place and players swinging at balls to try to hit home runs instead of taking the walk. Pisses me off.

            • Those bases loaded no outs, and no one scores, game killers always make me laugh.

Thank God for Tananka!!! If he wasn't on the mound today, we probably would've lost 5-3!!

Teixeira was taken outnear the end of the game because his wrist got sore again, and Pineda was shut down today.. Indefinitely!!

It wouldnt be the Yankees without a boatload of injuries! Tex is done. Pineda might be as well. I think he got offended that he couldnt shower in pinetar and go on the mound. Now everything "hurts".

Haha.. I remember his first few starts this season, and one friend was predicting 15 wins this year for Pineda..

I said to him, "can we wait and see if he stays healthy before we make such predictions??"

I wish I was wrong, and he was right..

                    • Phil "Home Run" Hughes' performance today at "Yankee Stadium":

                      Eight solid innings.
                      Two earned runs.
                      100 pitches.
Winning pitcher, thanks to a 9th collapse by David Robertson.

The Yankees' line up is a mess!!!

                        • Phil Hughes and Eduardo Nunez are the 2 stars for Minny today in beating the Yankees.....

Even as a Yankee fan, this one has me laughing. This is what the Yankees have become.

Pretty friggin sad it all I have to say. You just have to wonder if Cano was still in the line up, would he have made a difference?

Uuuuuugh, what am I saying? It's the lack of starting pitching, the injuries, the age...

I'll say this regarding Eduardo Nunez. It was either him, or Yangervis Solarte. Between those two, I'll take Solarte.

Absolutely. Solarte not only with the bat, but 1000x in the field.

The scouting and developing department, along with Cash should be looked at long and hard this off season. They need to do something to take them back to the early 90s and develop some young talent again. I hate saying this, but the Red Sox are miles ahead of the Yanks in that area and it shows.

I've been waiting for Damon Oppenheimer to be let go for years!! With one year left on his contract, maybe this will be his final year.
