  • Why did we not trade up?

Don't get it at all. with all of these teams trading up for middle round picks can't understand why we just sat back for Wilson. (Yeah I will come back next season and say how much of a genius JR is for the pick) Just thought that we could have made a move this year.

Kind of thought there might be a chance we moved up when Reif and Decastro slipped as far as they did.

We didn't move up in '04. We stayed put and drafted Rivers... Then the trading happened.

Re: Why did we not trade up?

Reese said in his pre-draft presser that he had guys 15-32 rated about the same.

Why trade up if you believe the players that fall to you are just as good?

Re: Why did we not trade up?

Look at what some teams who did move up were giving up. If the Giants thought that guys were the same value throughout most of the draft then why not just wait for someone else of simlar value to come to you.

I think Wilson is a good pick. I don't know what Reese and company look at value wise and how they determine value, but if he liked Wilson enough I'm content.

What was the sense of urgency trading up? Look how much talent is still on the board. Id' rather see them move up in the 2nd or 3rd.

Not to mention, Bradshaw's foot is always a timebomb.

Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

                      # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
                      2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
                      3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
                      4-New York Giants!!!
                      5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

+1. I'm not gonna lie. He isn't the guy I wanted, but most of the players I wanted were gone anyway. I'm no scout and Reese & Ross know these prospects way better than any of us do.

I was simply asking why we didn't move up. Seemed like the year to do that. I did also acknowledge that I will be praising JR after next season, so you are the one that needs to chill out.
