We definitely have no need at all of defensive secondary. I think we may go with a CB this draft because it's deep in CBs and we'll look to replace either Ross (this year) or CWeb (next year).

Right Tackle and MLB are the biggest question marks in my mind. Physically we have them answered with Brewer/DD (RT) and Connor/Herzlich (MLB) but I think there are big concerns there (at least from the fan base).

Reese isn't a trade-savvy GM (at least to date) so I don't see us trading back for more picks. I wouldn't mind trading out of the first and picking Brown up as our first pick in the second round and getting a few more picks out of the deal but historically speaking, that's not likely to happen (both us trading back and picking an MLB with our first pick).
I think Pass rusher is a definitive need the Giants couldnt get to the QB last year. The Giants won 2 Super Bowls with different offenses the only constant was having a rotation of elite DE's. Those DE's have gotten old. If they want to get this defense going again they must add another pass rusher. This is more about next year 2. I would go up and get Mingo if it was up to me.

WEll not to mention, outside of a pass rusher, which is a clear need seeing how we didn't have anyone with what, 7sacks last yr?, is MLB, where sure we got Dan Connor and Mark Herzlich, but the problem is, Herzlich has shown nothing, and Connor is a fringe player at best, albeit, i think he fits what we like to do well, and will be a solid player for us, ala Danny Clark(i realize he was strongside, just saying), but my point is, just because we have bodies, don't mean those bodies are good and the positon is not a need..

Safeties: Rolle, Brown, Hill, T2 (we have Safeties).

DT: Joseph, Jenkins, Rogers, Patterson, Kuhn and Austin (we have DTs)

There isn't a NEED on the defense.

No need? You just listed it! That list is the problem.. it scares the cr@p outta me. I count maybe 5 players on it I trust to perform.
            2017 Draft Wishlist:
            1. Christian McCaffrey RB Stanford
            2. Raekwon McMillan ILB Ohio State
            3. Roderick Johnson OT Florida State
            4. Jordan Leggett TE Clemson
            5. Ryan Glasgow DT Michegan
            6. Chad Kelly QB Ole Miss
            7. Billy Brown WR Shepherd

              I tend to agree.

However, Mingo? Seems like trying to put a square peg in a round hole to me.

I see more potential in a trading partner with the Vicks but obviously the value in return would be less.

Any Idea who we could trade with? I heard some talks about teams trading their 2nd rd pick to move up or Barkley. Maybe someone like a Jacksonville?

                  Jarvis Jones OLB
                  Johnathan Hankins DT
                  Dion Jordan 3-4 OLB
                  Manti Te'o MLB
                  Eric Reid S
                  Xavier Rhodes CB
                  Alec Ogletree OLB
                  Datone Jones DE
                  D.J. Fluker RT
                  Tyler Eifert TE
                  Cornelius Carradine DE

why get 1 of those at 19 when we can get 2 of them (maybe 3 after 2 rounds with a trade down)?

                  Our needs:
T- the 3 best tackles will be out before our pick. The value for a T will not be there at 19 (round 2 Pugh, Watson possibilities)
CB- Outside Xavier Rhodes, the value will not be there at 19 for CB (plus the draft is deep at CB) Round 3-4
MLB- no value at ALL at 19... at pick 25+ yes Te'o or Minter.
DE- Moore at 19 nah... Carradine nah... Jones nah...

without a trade down I would pick Xavier Rhodes
with a trade down I would get BPA at those positions (DE-CB-T-LB)
                  NFL Draft (Realistic Hope):

                  Rd 1
                  Garrett Bolles - OT
                  David Njoku - TE
                  Zach Cunningham - OLB

I agree...unless somebody like Mingo, Ansah, or Fisher falls into our laps I think we absolutely should. The problem is Reese does not like to trade picks on draft day for some reason, I am sure there is a method to it but you never know.

None of those are "needs" except RT

DE, CB, and S aren't "needs"

A "need" is an obvious hole and/or glaring lack of depth at that position.

DE - JPP, Tuck, Kiwi, Ojomo, Tracy
CB - Prince, Webster, Hosley, Ross, Thomas
S - Rolle, Brown, Hill, Sash, Thomas

No glaring holes or lack of depth at any of those 3 positions.

Would we like to improve in all 3 areas? Of course. But that doesn't mean it's a "need". Under that logic, every single position on the team outside of QB is a "need"
