  • 2013 Draft: Fisher Emerging As Chiefs' No.1 Pick

Excerpt: "Offensive tackle Eric Fisher has emerged as the likely No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

The Central Michigan left tackle has met three times with members of the Kansas City Chiefs' management team, including at the Senior Bowl and NFL Scouting Combine. He also worked out for them privately and confidently told his mother, Heidi, to retire from Volkswagen after 33 years on the job (she hasn't yet). As the top pick in the draft, Fisher or Joeckel are in line for a four-year deal (with fifth-year option) worth more than $23 million.

He went fourth to Minnesota in 2012.

According to USA Today's Lindsay Jones, there are at least two other options in play for GM John Dorsey if the Chiefs sit tight at No. 1." Read more...
