I agree Moore is very over rated. Okafor could rush the passer and play the Run. I woulda passed, there was a reason he fell from the top 10 to 3rd round. Devin Taylor, Q. Smith, Okafor all would of been better players opposite JPP.

That's certainly looking like the scenario next year when three of those veteran contracts expire.

The alternative is a possibly cost-effective signing of a mid tier veteran for a team that has some important free agents next offseason.

I would of taken Moore over all those guys. I just dont think he is going to be flying around the corner to often. A lot of u guys love Devin Taylor guy looks like the tin man to me out there. He has no bend in his game whatsoever.I think Taylor needs to gain a lot of weight and become a 5 tech if he is going to have any success. Okafor I thought was a borderline 3rd 4th round pick I really didnt like his tape. Q Smith intrigued me the most out of those 3 u mentioned because he was so flexible around the corner. had the Giants taken him instead I wouldnt of minded.

Maybe because we had one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL last year?
            2017 Mock Draft (Pre-combine / FA):

Rd 1: OJ Howard (TE, Alabama)
Rd 2: Tanoh Kpassagnon (DE, Villanova)
Rd 3: Antonio Garcia (OT, Troy)
Rd 4: Samaje Perine (RB, Oklahoma)
Rd 5: Davis Webb (QB, Cal)
Rd 6: Ahkello Witherspoon (CB, Colorado)
Rd 7: DJ Jones (DT, Ole Miss)

It takes awhile for most corners in the league to even become decent. I'm more surprised that the giants didn't go after a cheaper vet with something still left in the tank. Like mike jenkins.. Hopefully Jayron has a better sophmore campaign although he wasn't terrible his rookie season..just nothing special. I'm not putting a whole lot of faith in t2's knees, but if the secondary stays healthy it should have a bounce back year.

Then we have DEPTH aka #6 or #7 CB's: DEPTH!?!?!?

i'll make this whole group simple and describe them in one word: WHO?

because that would take too much common sense

good corners become mediocre under perry fewell. It's hard to be good in his system. Even though that was half a joke I oddly enough want to believe it. Anyway, if c-webb plays how he did last year expect ross to fill in for him. I like hosley, but I don't know if he'll be good on the outside, I look foward to seeing what he can do this season. As for the rest, prince is really our only solid CB as of now unless webster can get his **** together. Thats why people wanted a cb this draft. As long as prince can stay healthy, and c webb can play better than last year and hosely makes improvements we'll survive.

I wish I could change the name of this thread to, "Why does NYG4life not want a CB?"

I know we all have our opinions, but was I watching a different team last year? Our corners reek and if they dont step it up they will be exposed early again this year. Im as hopeful as anyone that Webbys back to his old self, T2 stays healthy, and Ross, well not much to be said there. JR desperately failed to fill this hole in a corner-friendly draft. I just hope this group can turn it up a notch, but have trouble believing in them since its pretty much the same guys as last year.

Came back to add that Im pulling for Hosley to grab a starting role, as he was sick to watch in college.

Simply because they wanted a top flight corner next too Prince. I don't think the Giants had two great CB's next too each other a lot, and they had an oppurtunity for it this year.
