  • What would we get back in a trade down that would be more value than Saquon?

To me, I would want 2 first rounders in return, otherwise I'd be happier with Barkley.

Are you crazy? Thatís too small a return. 2 years ago, this is what the Eagles traded to go from #8 to #2. 5 picks!! FIVE!!! Cleveland got the 8th pick in the first round, a third-round pick (77th overall) and a fourth-round pick (100th overall) in this year's draft, a first-round pick in 2017 and a second-round pick in 2018. Cleveland also had to guve a 2017 4th rounder.

So really 5 for two. Broken down:

    Browns traded 2016 Round 1 #2, 2017 4th Round pick

    Eagles traded: 2016 #8 Round 1, 2017 Round 1, 2018 Round 2, 2016 Round 3 & Round 4

Weíd have to get back at least this much. 2 first rounders, a second, a third and a fourth. That was for moving 6 spots and not even to #1. If your guy is there at QB though, you take him.

No more stark an example is this exact trade. Cleveland passed on Wentz. Sure they got picks, but Philly won the division and is set with Wentz. Cleveland passed on a QB AGAIN, and is still looking for one even though they are picking #1 AGAIN and still have no QB.

If Darnold is there, heíd be tough to pass on, even with Eli and Webb. Iíll repeat what Iíve been saying in other posts, IF we can still get a QB like Mayfield and other picks to grab an Olineman and a linebacker, then you do it, but only if you know you can get him and heís your guy. Itís risky, but that would be ideal.

However, donít trade down just to trade down. At the franchiseís risk and really, everyoneís job at stake, you pass on a QB and set everything back years. Look at Cleveland and the Jets, for example.

Look at it this way, Cleveland passed on Wentz, got all those picks and are still in position to draft a franchise quarterback. If you pass on a franchise qb chances are you still will suck the next year. Passing on one isnít the problem itís staying bad just enough to say out of the top 5 like the Jets.

If I were to trade with the Broncos, I would want what the redskins gave up for RG3 maybe more.

We shouldn't let that deter us. The Browns just screw up drafts. None of the players they drafted for all the picks they got in the jones trade are still with them. But if they were a better run organization, they could have drafted these players:
          2011 Draft:
          Muhammad Wilkerson
          Randall Cobb
          Richard Sherman

          2012 Draft:
          Janoris Jenkins
          R. Wilson..

Would you trade Julio Jones for Cobb, Sherman, Jackrabbit, Willson, Wilkerson? Browns are cursed they lose regardless of what they do. So imo getting the 2nd pick after the browns is a blessing in disguise because the Browns will pick the wrong Qb and prevent us from messing up. LOL

Any trade down would be worth not drafting Barkley ( I don't think he is worth drafting with the 2nd pick). Swap picks + 2 firsts. Swap picks + 1 first and 2 seconds. Swap picks + 1 first, 1 second, 2 thirds and a 5th. Any combos would be worth it.
The Dallas Cowboys have now gone exactly One Third of their pathetic existence without a Super bowl appearance.

Depending how far we are trading down.... say we trade down to 7

i would trade our #2 overall pick for their #7overall, their 2nd, 3rd,and 4th round picks this year, and maybe a 2nd next year

And while Barkley is my favorite RB Id be cool with

                Derrius Guice, LSU
                Nick Chubb, Georgia
                Sony Michel, Georgia
                Bryce Love, Stanford
                Ronald Jones, USC
                Royce Freeman, Oregon

                all obtainable in rounds 2-5
