  • BRADLEY CHUBB DESTROYING THE BEST OT IN THE DRAFT

If we take anything other than a QB....He is my pick. I love Mike McGlinchey, and Chubb is making him look bad here.

I would love to shed JPP's contract for this kids rookie deal.

Chubb is the real deal. If, we were to draft him. We can use him in a rotation.

Chubb is outstanding, him and Clemsons Clelin Ferrrel are my 2 fav 4-3 DEs.

just not sure if i want to drop a 1st, especially a 2nd overall, on a player who isnt going to start day 1

McGlinchey is sloppy in his play just like the field on that day. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Quenton Nelson is the real gem on that Notre Dame line. Watch that video again and look at the guy right next to McGlinchey's right. Every time Chubb went to Nelson, he handled him no problem. Then if you watch the blocks that Nelson lays down, damn, it reminds me of all the run plays the Giants used to do with their athletic guards during the Tiki Barber era. Where you have the guards sweeping to the opposite side to lay down a block. I don't think I've seen the Giants do those sort of run plays all year.

Watch this block by nelson here (love it):

This one he drives the defender backwards 7 yards off the line of scrimmage! LOL:

Got to appreciate the awareness he has on the line. He comes back to help McGlinchey just before Chubb was going to make a move past McGlinchey:

Someone in another thread was saying in the Notre Dame bowl game a stat came up saying that Nelson hasn't allowed a sack in over 800 snaps. Someone on twitter mentions the stat back in November when it was 744 snaps: https://twitter.com/timprister/statu...91531510001664

You can watch his footage but if you think he's going to be on the Giants in any scenario you've got to be puffin the weed like Josh Gordon. We've got Vernon and JPP on our team, no way do we spend a top 3 pick on another DE. His salary would be about 30 million in a rookie contract. If you cut JPP or Vernon it is a massive hit to the salary cap. It would absolutely destroy your ability to pickup free agents. I think the only option would be some sort of trade but I'm not entirely sure if JPP or Vernon have trade clauses or not.

The probability he is drafted by the Giants. I'd give it a 5% chance. JPP or Vernon would have to be traded. It makes absolutely no sense for the Giants to add another monster DE contract to the salary cap.

done correctly can be very effective. There have been a lot of things missing from our line lately...

So, unfortunately, I'm a die hard NC State fan. As much as I want Barkley, as much as I like the "idea" of getting our next franchise QB, to me Chubb is the safest bet. He is the real deal.

I'm starting to think we may trade down a few picks and snag him. He truly is legit against the run and pass.

Also, not for nothing, but there are a couple folks we should watch out for from NCSU. Finley (QB) and Samuels (RB/TE/WR) are both solid
                      NFL Draft (Realistic Hope):

                      Rd 1
                      Garrett Bolles - OT
                      David Njoku - TE
                      Zach Cunningham - OLB

Wish we could trade JPP or vernon to the Browns for the 4th overall. Would never happen but boy that would solve so many of our problems. Use the 2nd overall on whichever QB we like (assuming they like one) and hope for Nelson, Barkley, Chubb, or any other stud with the 4th overall. Or maybe roll the dice on Eli/Webb and go with some combo of Chubb/Barkley/Nelson. Plus frees up tons of money to help restock the OL and extend Odell and Collins.

                        I guy can dream

Browns have enough cap space to pay goodell

Anyone know how he would compare to Myles Garret, Bosa, or JD Clowney?

the other bosa will be in next year's draft.... we could wait until 2019 for Defensive Lineman>>>> supposed to be an exceptional year next year for DL players
