I have watched him play . I have not seen him do that. He is careless and sloppy with the ball. In the NFL not always are they Wide open . If he cant show some precision with his throws he wont last long.

He is a very big time project. Riskiest QB if you ask me.

If you go watch his comps in college, Ben or Flacco, they were much better than this. More consistent.

That alone makes the Senior Bowl worth watching for Giants fans ...

100% agreed. And he is more of a 1-read guy despite his offense being tailored to a more NFL style. He locks onto a guy and if hes not open, he leaves the pocket and either runs or tries to make a play on the run.

He is Cardale Jones from Ohio State. That is a perfect comparison.

Very smart decision on this jump pass here. Drew all the defenders in and lofts it up where only his WR could get it:
              https://youtu.be/QTuKHNz9vbA?t=6m9s

I think we debunked that myth just now.

Here's a bonus play (off topic) because this one is HILARIOUS. He jukes the safety SO NASTY that the safety, while getting his ankles broken, tries to swing his legs at him in a desperate fashion to try and trip him/tackle him. https://youtu.be/QTuKHNz9vbA?t=8m16s
              .
You may find a few plays like you did and think that you have "debunked" the myth. I have watched the past 2 years of games with him. I will tell you, he is miles away from being an NFL QB. He throws with no anticipation and very little touch. He tries to force everything in because his arm is so good. And it's a rare arm, I am not sure I have seen a QB throw with more velocity than him. Maybe Jeff George. As a matter of fact, he also comps to a more mobile Jeff George. And thats not somewhere you want to be. I think any team that takes him early will very much regret it.

I am going to do a few other players from this draft first that I think will be an option for our round 1 pick. Just remind me again and I will try to do it.

I remember your enthusiasm with him from last year.

yep injuries and off field stuff got him to be mr. irrelevant. But dude is Highly accurate and very mobile with a very strong arm. You can hear the zip on his balls. He is jim Kelly's nephew. If he has matured, he potentially can be a great QB in the NFL. He is more talented than Davis Webb, i can tell you that. He has been being humble and working his butt off in Denver. Lost 15 Lbs, slimmed down rehabbing his injuries. Look for him in spring training this season IF Denver doesnt take a first round QB. H should easily beat out trevor siemian, brock osweiler and paxton lynch for their starting QB position. We shall see. If we traded with Denver I would absolutely insist on him being part of the deal, then watch him beat out Webb of the QB job, unless we draft mayfield, in which case we have a superb number 2. All IMO, but i'm certainly not the only one. He was considered one of the best QB prospects until the off field stuff and injuries. People forget how highly he was touted early on. I'm just saying, he is worth looking at, talent wise.

I would take kelly over josh allen every single day and twice on sunday.

in last years draft we could have taken kelly in round 7 rather than webb in round 3.
We could have traded own with san fran and had their round 1 pick this year. THINK SAQUON BARKELY AND OUR QB OF CHOICE BOTH!
we could have had george kittle instead of evan engram and maybe dion dawkins or cam robinson instead of ereck flowers or John jerry plus an additional third rounder. don;t like dawkins or robinson? how about kamara? I think they should have traded down last year and gotten a first rounder in this years draft PLUS. san fran was drueling over ruben foster according to krafts media report.

overall value wise, we could have done way better, UNless davis webb surprises and becomes a great franchise QB. BIG If.

call me crazy but looking for value in later rounds is what it is all about. it enables you to maximize your draft.

If Kelly is that good, wouldnt Elway at least be considering him right now? I havent heard anything about him.

we shall see. you never know what these guys look like in the NFL against NFL defenses. If its anything like the NYG he never gets a snap, even in practice with 3 other guys there. It's all such BS. If it were me i'd give every player a chance to compete every single year. Let the best man win. Maybe they cut him or practice squad him and we can grab him for free. plenty of talent gets lost in the clouds the way the NFL does things. politics and standing by draft picks and FA acquisitions etc. They all want to make themselves look smart instead of playing the best players. If he gets a chance, he could shine. We shall see.

Huge project. Daniel Jeremiah is the first legitimate draft analyst Iíve seen peg him to New York. Mostly because people see him as another Darnold-type(big, strong, escapability) and he played in cold weather. The Giants are seen as a spot because they have a situation where he does not need to play right away (Eli). Seems pretty speculative to me.

Personally I think Darnold is the best fit for he Giants if hey can get him. Donít really see Rosen in the picture for the Giants but what do I know

While researching Allen, Vigen noticed a large number of parallels between Allen and a quarterback whom he had recruited in 2010 while serving in the same role at North Dakota StateóCarson Wentz, who went on to become an starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. Wentz was similar in size to Allen, and also shared Allen's small-town, multi-sport, and late-blooming background.

I think a lot of the infatuation with Allen comes from all the Wentz parallels

It's only because his coach came from North Dakota State. Wentz was so much more polished in every way. Allen is so utterly raw.
