the Jaguars took someone that was expected to be a mid 2nd to early 3rd round pick (Tyson Alaulu).
Alualu was expected to be a late 1st early 2nd rounder.
If I recall people thought he would begone by pick 40

Well with Luck out of the draft now, the wisest thing for the Panthers to do is try and trade that 1st pick for additional picks if you ask me. .
Without Luck, why would any team want to trade up? Really the first overall pick has to be DL. No OTs worth it, CBs dont go that high. Has to be either Dareus or Bowers. AJ Green is possible too, but needs to have a lights out combine.
I wouldnt want that pick now, They wouldnt pick Blaine Gabbert right?

Or Locker even. I dont know. This is the same team that thought Jimmy Clausen could be a franchise QB.

I mean, DE is not the best choice 1st overall, and its kinda early for Patrick Peterson, simply because hes all physical tools, and not all production, which i will always say, is most important.. Maybe they stay put and take AJ GREEN, that could be at least Justified.. Give Claussen a bonified number 1 weapon, then try hard to secure DJ WILLIAMS in RD 2... I know they need other stuff, but they are negative in the Weapon department.. U give Carolina AJ GREEN and DJ WILLIAMS to go with Gettis and Stewart, and a yr under claussen's belt, and at least u got a offense worthy of thinking about...

Mallet has a terrific arm but everything else about him is very, very flawed. This guy is going to need some serious refinement in his technique in the NFL, the scouts are going to rip him like they did tebow
i tend to agree.. All though, i freaking loved Mallett before the game against Oh St, it really showed me what his flaws are, being that he faced a attacking defense, that continued to get pressure all game...
idk i think the oh st game made me like him even more. the way he handle the pressure and still delivered said a lot to me. Sure he needs some work, but what college QB doesnt? (besides luck, he is amazing;P)
there was a few plays, where if he had a Faster delivery, he'd of been able to at least get rid of the ball, and that hitch, just didn't allow it.. To me, he was shaken by the pressure, and really didn't handle it all that well, hes mighty slow on his feet, and again, just that little hitch in his delivery to go with that slowness, really worries me.. He reminds me of Shaub with a tad slower delivery, which is still good, but not superior.. THen again, for all i know, he could be the next Kurt Warner..lol
Especially is QB guru Jim Fassell ends up snatching the bronoc job as HC, Elway loves fassell and would of loved getting him a player like Luck to work with... Shoot, u gotta give it to Fassell, our Offense was Sad as can be before he took over, and he had Kerry COllins in the super bowl.. Fassell + Luck and Elway = positive start to bringing along your franchise...

as im sure u have heard by now, Luck is not going to the NFL.

Ill say it again, we cannot assume that players, even the most likely candidates to declare, will enter the NFL draft this year. Nobody wants to risk sitting out a year due to a lockout.

Looking forward to tonight's bowl game

Time to see what drake nevis has got. love the guy and is a bit underrated. he is a little undersized tho and he struggles at the point of attack sometimes

patrick peterson should put on a show on special teams. gets way with a lot of things because of his athleticism but a very talented athlete nonetheless

This battle bewteen Fuller and Peterson is pretty good. Fuller keeps getting backshoulder grabs that Peterson cant defend. Im wondering if Peterson tries to cheat up to stop it and Fuller takes one deep.

peterson is getting owned rite now. wouldnt be surprised if he gives up TD later on in the game

Hes not getting owned, hes had pretty tight coverage all game.

The question with Peterson though has always been his technique. Whenever he plays an athlete who has really good physical ability, he doesnt look nearly as dominant.

only one throw he had tight coverage. the other 2 times he he got beat pretty good.

i like the point u made about peterson playing athletes withgood physical ability. peterson is a beast athlete in himself.. in the nfl he's going to be covering WRs just as talented and athletic as he is. i dont think hes going to transition well in the nfl if hes going to be asked to cover number 1 WRs. he should start playing in the slot where he is going to beast

so? he has no gap integrity or discipline. that same TFL he made in the backfield was the same play he bit on that gave LSU's QB a TD
