  • What would you rank the needs by position?

I'm making two ranks: one where we keep important FA, and one where we don't.
(to keep this simple, I'm only ranking offense and defense positions, leaving ST players out for the time being)

    With FA retained:
    1) OLB
    2) OG/C
    3) CB
    4) TE
    5) RB
    6) DE
    7) OT
    8) WR
    9) S
    10) MLB
    11) DT
    12) QB
    13) FB

    Without FA retained:
    1) MLB
    2) OLB
    3) RB
    4) OG/C
    5) CB
    6) S
    7) WR
    8) TE
    9) DT
    10) DE
    11) OT
    12) QB
    13) FB

I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite team in the NFL.

      1) OG/C
      2) DE
      3) OLB
      4) CB
      5) DT (maybe higher if Linval isn't signed - we'll still have Cullen Jenkins, Patterson, Hankins, etc. but out of all of them only Hankins is young)
      6) OT
      7) RB
      8) MLB (assuming Beason is signed)
      9) TE
      10) WR
      11) S
      12) QB/FB

pretty much this, although i would put WR up a little higher, maybe in front of MLB

          Not based on position value

          1. Interior Line - I dont care which of the 3 "LG,C,RG u can upgrade them all

          2. Pass Rushers- This is vague but this team can not get home. I dont care where u get them or what position they play . DE great, 3 Tech awesome, situational pass rushing LB draft him

          3. CB-Outside of prince this team has a very bleak future

          4. TE- Are TE's are laughable no need to say more

          5. WR- An outside receiver is an absolute must. James Jones of the Packers may be an option if Nicks eaves

          6. RB- Id go with the Packers again and target James Starks in FA. Can come in and split carries immediately

I agree with all of this.

I would add OT, depth there is needed badly especially with beatty's injury.

S too, you never know. Rolle has a huge contract, Stevie is coming back from an ACL, Hill cant stop getting in trouble, and Mundy is a FA.

LB is probably lowest on my list, which is sad, I would love to improve there, but thats a luxury at this point

Depending on nicks we may need WR. Randall never really stepped up enough to rely on him as Hakeem's replacement. JJ made some plays against a garbage defense in a meaningless game. Murphy will be gone. Cruz only one we know we can count on for sure. May have to grab Evans if available. That would make our neg with nicks easier. Myers, Pascoe prob gone. Robinson we know nothing about. May need to draft TE as well. And a bunch of O lineman and DT
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

                # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
                2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
                3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
                4-New York Giants!!!
                5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

I'd be ok with this. We need a 3rd guy behind jpp and moore as a DE. I think our LB's played pretty well this year so if we resign beason which according to rotoworld is expected to happen i think we can leave LB alone. I also think we need to only upgrade TE (and not WR). With Cruz, Randle, and Jernigan finally flashing and a stud TE (ebron/amaro) I think our offense would be great. we could definitely use a RB but would wait for later rounds as their are always RB gems in the 5/6th round. As long as we get a DE, TE, or OL in round 1 I'm cool with it

We need to bolster are pass rush and get a big physical outside WR the most in my opinion. Then i'd add a good CB to the list after that.. Then TE...

1). Pass Rush- Including not only end, but a pass rushing 4/3 DT.
2). WR- Pref , a big physical WR who can get downfield and be used as a primary redzone weapon.
                      3). CB
4). TE- We need a beast pass catching TE who can block
                      5). RB/Interior oline

I still get surprised by all the people who constantly say pass rush. It wasn't the best last year, but JPP will be healthy and Moore will actually be on the field since he wont be a rookie anymore. I think our pass rush will be improved by a LB that can cover tight ends. Teams schemed against us in 2012 by doing lots of slants to TE and slot receiver. The cowboys in particular do a fake max protect with 2 tight ends on either side, one will release and the other will block. The middle of the field is wide open and so they get the ball out quickly before our 4-man rush can get home. Shutting down the guaranteed play over the middle, combined with our existing pass rushers getting ready to play, solves our pass rush problem...

That solves two games. What about games like carolina, KC, chicago, philly early on where we gave up 30+ points? Let mediocre passing QBs like alex smith and cam newton (yes they have a mediocre passing game) walk all over us. We need another pass rusher end of

Tuck had almost half the sacks for our team and is a FA.. JPP has been injury prone and hasen't played at a All pro level in a couple yrs. Damontre Moore has a ways to go before being considered anything yet.. This team more tehn anything, needs at least one more edge rusher, and they def need a young pass rushing DT to pair with Big Hank going forward. I don't know how you can argue we dont need more pass rushers?
