  • 2015 TE prospects

    Let us assume that our TE situation stays the way it is and it turns out to be like everyone is expecting it to be.

    Who do we target in the draft?

    Nick O'Leary is the only person worth mentioning right now.

          I like O'Leary but he may not have the prototypical size. What about Devin Funchess at Michigan?

            Unless Grimble turns out to be an epic scrap heap addition, I think that we'll get a TE in free agency.

            I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite team in the NFL.

              Guess I will throw in Ben Koyack from Notre Dame. He will be their only draft eligible TE next year and likely will start all their games. 6'5" 261 pounds.
              LT (132.5) -> Strahan (141.5) -> Osi (65) -> Tuck (60.5) -> JPP (50) -> ???

                David Funches Michigan is a similar TE in the mold of Eric Ebron. There's also Jesse James I like from Penn State who looks like a specimen. Around 6'7 270 lbs. Not sure if he's eligible for 15' yet though. Need to check on that.

                  Jesse James, he's a keeper for his name alone, lets hope he's the real deal.

                    I would get a poncho with "The James Gang" sew onto the back and wear it to the games.

                          Good tough player, with decent blocking ability for his size. The problem is he isn't big enough to be an inline TE in the NFl. He is a h-back type and we don't value those as much, if you believe Reese.

                            I wouldn't anticipate drafting a TE any time soon, TE is the new LB. Reese has decided it does not matter lol

                              I do not think that is necessarily true. Reese just doesn't care for the the fad of drafting a really big WR who doesn't know how to block and calling him a TE. He said very plainly that he values blocking from the TE position as much as anything. Those type players aren't being developing by College football as much anymore.
