They weren't any good to begin with, now probably the worst in the NFL

In the games he played, Claiborne allowed like a 63% passer rating against.

But now that he's no longer on the cowboys, expect him to get called for holding a lot more this coming year.

            Lol..

So a decent DT and 4 starters in Secondary. Like was said as a unit they overachieved. Wilcox and Church could of been retained for the right price but they let them all walk

I do not think anyone in Dallas is crying over losing any of those guys. It could get worse if they don't hit big in draft but I got a feeling they feel that they can improve over last year with a different unit
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

            # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
            2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
            3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
            4-New York Giants!!!
            5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

They also had guys that played lots of snaps that played quite well off bench that will now get bigger roles

Regardless if the 4 players were very good or not, having to replace 2 CB's and 2 S's in one year will not be easy. Having little money to spend isn't going to help them either.

This. It's better to go into the draft with no pressing needs. But now the defense is incredibly thin.

I really hope we don't throw a ton of picks at the secondary, and instead allocate resources to improving the DL.

                      Not exactly

                      The line was:

                      LT: Tyron
                      LG: Leary
                      C: Frederick
                      RG: Martin
                      RT: Free

As it stands right now it's:

                      LT: Tyron
                      LG: Collins
                      C: Frederick
                      RG: Martin
                      RT: ???

                      Options at RT:

                      1. Chaz Green-- supposed to be the swing tackle and is good enough to play RT. Just can't stay healthy
                      2. Emmett Cleary-- Did well in place of Tyron when he was on the field last year.
                      3. Kick Lael Collins out to RT, sandwich Jonathan Cooper or Joe Looney between Tyron and Frederick.

Weak to no pass rush and now no secondary.

Their offense is going to have to win the TOP by a large margin or they are going to be competing with the skins for last place in the east.
McClain was replaced by Stephen Paea.

Paea excelled in Marinelli's scheme with the Bears, but has really been underwhelming since.

They also added Dumbontrae Moore, and could have their third round pick from 2016 actually play this year (Charles Tapper).

They've added bodies, and it looks like we may get some of our own back, but color me unenthused.

Luckily for y'all, this draft is incredibly deep at DB and DE.

We are replacing those scrubs with guys who can actually play decent in zone coverage. Not sure who they will be replaced with but I imagine more scrubs

Anyways, they needed to go but I kind of wanted Mo to stay......the rest can go suck somewhere else.

Dallas D was hidden by their run game all yr. Got exposed in the playoff game vs GB. Told people all yr that once they played a top tier team with a top tier QB, Dallas D would get lit up. If it hadn't been GB, it woulda been Atl or NE lighting them up. No pass rush will kill you in the playoffs. That they rushed just 3 vs AR on that 3rd & 30 play was idiotic, I woulda sent the house at him & made him dump off the ball quick & then hopefully tackle the guy after a small gain Then send the house again on 4th dn. You never give a QB like AR time to scan the field.
