  • Is David Baas our long term solution?

Can you see this guy playing center for us for 5 years? I certainly don't. I miss O'Hara, even Koets. sigh.

At this point, he's not even the short term solution.

The Giants had their most effective running game in a long time with Petrus and Boothe.

Diehl is clearly more effective at LT than LG.

Oh yeah! 5 yards and a cloud of turf.
I'll take it all day long. Baas needs to fetch water.

Remember last year when our best oline production was when a few guys were out? They went 5 straight games without giving up a sack, then Diehl came back in at LT and gave up a sack.

No one remembers who came in second.

I have not been impressed. He seems athletic but not very powerful.

                That would be a NO

Keep the same line up at OL as this last game.

Center, no, but i can see him playing LG for us next year seeing that Guard is his natural position

I feel like diehl wont be back next year

Diehl or no Diehl, I think Petrus won the LG position.

Baas should be giving Eli his pay check

It's kind of like when Canty came to use the first year and even the second year. He didn't do much. Let's see Baas next year after a full offseason and hopefully he can stay healthy too.

look at the deal for Baas, who turns 30 on Sept. 28:

                            SIGNING BONUS: $8.5 million

                            BASE SALARIES

                            2011: $1m (guaranteed)
                            2012: $3m ($2m guaranteed)
                            2013: $4.25m
                            2014: $4.75m
                            2015: $5m

WORKOUT BONUSES: $250,000 each year from 2012-15

Quick math shows that works out to these salary-cap numbers:

                            2011: $2.7m
                            2012: $4.95m
                            2013: $6.2m
                            2014: $6.7m
                            2015: $6.95m

Baas is gone after next year. And I cant wait to see him go, im sorry but that guy is the biggest pu**y I have ever seen. He misses a game month because of his period. Good riddance.
