  • How often do you wonder how lucky you are?

I'm only 20 and I've seen the Giants win 2 Superbowls. Fans of some teams have probably been waiting 40 years for an appearance never mind a trophy to show for it. I'm pretty grateful for it, in a league of 32 where only one team can be left standing, to take two in five years is unbelievable. I just hope people cherish it while it lasts, I've noticed some people getting picky about the lack of free-agents, but jesus we could be a perennially losing team who wins four or five games every year, that is a real problem to moan about. I think about it all the time, its memories you cannot buy, fans of a lot of teams would love to have half the success our team has had.

You will only realize how great these years were when years of mediocrity go by.

1990 was my first year watching football (7 years old)...and I thought every season ended in glory. Unfortunately, it took 17 years to win again. That 1990 team remained in my heart for all those years. I can appreciate these last 2 Super Bowls much more now...But I still feel like I am riding on cloud 9...even from the 2007 championship...

+1. I'm a Mets fan so this is my only sports enjoyment.

I've been fortunate enough to witness all 4 SB victories. They've been one of the best and most consistent franchises in that time period. During that time they've been to 5 SBs and only NE has been to more (6 SB).

          But I want more.

Fans of Some teams have never been able to see what it feels like for their team to be in the SB cause they never made it there. Other fans just know the feeling of frustration as their teams have got there several times and lost each time (Vikings & Bills). We are somewhat spoiled. But not only winning but winning with story book endings in 07 and 11
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

            # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
            2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
            3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
            4-New York Giants!!!
            5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

As a fan of the Giants its a fortune to have witness this team win 2 superbowls. I been a hardcore Giants Fan since 2006 but you can say I started following them in 2004 when Eli got drafted. 2007 happened so quick because I shortly become a fan before, its a fortune.

Then some stupid fool told me that I was greedy because I told him that I was mad that the Giants couldn't repeat in 09 and I wanted to ask him does he belong to a ******ed center.

I was 28 when the giants won their first SB of Lombardi era in 86. So. If u figure my dad get me spoon fed on giants games from around the age of 5 I can remember watching with him. Then that was a good 20 to 23 or so lean yrs of watching the them every hr and saying at the end.. We will get em next yr.

So we should all be thankful cause no matter how good teams are in this era, teams just don't repeat. After 86 and 90 who would of thought we would go 17 more long seasons without lifting that Trophy again.

We can't take what just happened for granted. Now I don't think we have to wait 17 more seasons to see it happen again (at least I hope not, I'd be 70) but we can't expect to go out and win it every yr. just doesn't happen. Which is why I will never forgive plax for his stupidity. We will forever wonder what would have happened that yr had he not shot himself. We were mowing teams down offensively prior to that incident. Not so much after it.

I've seen the Giants do it 4 times in my lifetime and the Yankees 7 times. When I stop and think about that, when I think about Jets fans and Eagles fans who've never experienced it, I am grateful to the sports gods.

This is my story to a T. I remember being in the second grade watching Super Bowl XXV, hanging on every snap. When Scott Norwood came out for the kick, I remember my mother saying something like "oh no, he's going to make it." Then it went wide right and I went nuts. Those 17 years between Super Bowl wins were long, but it made the last two sweeter.

Became a Giants fan from watching LT in the 80s. I dont really remember the 1st SB win because I was real young, but definitely remember the 2nd over the Bills. I remember where I was and who I was with. Then I remember developing a hate for a team for the first time in my life, the Dallas Cowboys. Then the 90s came, and I was torn. I wasnt a Giants fan who hates the Jets, still am not. In fact, Ive been to several Jets games through the years with my pops, but more Giants games. The 90s were a brutal run for all Giants fans, which made the 2000 loss pretty devistating but at least it felt like we were on the right track again. But we were not, until 2004. That may have been themost importantyear the Giants ever had. They got a coach who already won a ring with them in Tom Coughlin, and traded for a rookie QB who will be, if not already, the best QB in Giants history.

It is pretty crazy that this team has not had a losing season since 2004,8 seasons ago, and sandwiched in there are 2 SB wins. Almost a decade without a losing season.

Id say it is a great time to be a Giants fan, possible the best time in their history.

                              Looking forward to 2012.
