GIANTS' KENNY PHILLIPS RULED OUT FOR COWBOYS' GAME

    "As expected, the Giants have
downgraded safety Kenny Phillips from doubtful to out. He didn't travel to Texas
with the team for Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys.

Phillips suffered a sprained knee in this past Sunday's loss to the Packers.
He didn't practice all week and did only light jogging and backpedaling on the
side. His injury was to the medial collateral ligament and there's a chance he
could return on Dec. 18 against the Redskins.

Phillips' absence means the Giants will start Antrel Rolle and Deon Grant
against Dallas. Expect rookie Tyler Sash to play as well. Sash, a special-teams
contributor who has dressed for every game this season, saw some time on defense
in the season opener against the Redskins and against Green Bay when Phillips
    left.

"We've been blessed at the safety position, as far as injuries all season,"
Sash said. "Nobody's really gotten hurt until Kenny and it's not something
serious that he's going to be out for a long amount of time."

Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell's ability to call games has been hampered
by changes in personnel because of injuries
. But Sash said his play against
the Packers has him encouraged by his knowledge of the defense.

"It showed the coaches were confident in me, throwing me in there Sunday
night," he said. "I made all the right calls, all the checks and got everybody
lined up so that always helps from the trust aspect."

“Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.” MB Rule # 1

Glad we have Grant because Sash is really still just a box safety. Good at hitting and tackling.

Sash got some nice ink in the media today but Grant is the difference maker. Sash has a long way to go to have real impact in multiple situations. Hopefully he develops into that in the coming years but for tomorrow.........Grant.
No one remembers who came in second.

I don't know, Grant looks very slow this year. This could be a huge problem tomorrow night.

I think Fewell will go with more 3 CB formations than the 3 safety look due to KP's injury. I expect to see alot of Prince this week. IMO he's looked good. Hope his foot holds up this week and doesn't take him out later in the game.

To bad. The way he talked all week, I expected him to play. But that's what Bradshaw said the week we found out he re fractured the bone around the screw in his foot. He then missed what, four games? Hope KP is back quick
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

                  # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
                  2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
                  3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
                  4-New York Giants!!!
                  5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!
