  • 2 Unsung Heros In Giants History! You have any more?

How about TE Bob Mrosko (#80) for his clutch 4th down catch versus Chicago in the divisional round in 1990. and DT John Earl Washington (#73) for his 4th and goal stuff in the same playoff game. If you watch that game (I just did, god bless ITUNES!!!) Madden reiterates on several occasions that those two plays changed the whole game. The Bears were actually in control and could have EASILY won that game until those 2 guys stepped up on 4th down!

Scott Norwood would have never happened if it weren't for Bob Mroscko and John Earl Washington!

    Those are my nominees!

Everson Walls - vet pick up from the Cowboys in the 1990 season. Made an absolute game saving tackle on the final Buffalo drive. Thermon Thomas was running wild. If not for that tackle, it would have been near game over.

Erik Howard - 1990 NFCCG vs Niners causes a fumble, recovered by LT which lead to the FG by Barr.

Michael Johnson 2007, batted the ball to Hixon in the NFCCG in Green Bay on that fumble.

    Too many to name.

Ron Dixon. not only for the 2000 playoffs, but 2002 as well, he was making catches to setup Junkin for the lose.

I also think he could have been the X factor in that super bowl. he was open deep a lot, but collins kept staring down toomer and hilliard, and the ravens knew it.

as for this year, 93CHASEBLACKBURNOHYEAH! Bradshaw also kicked it up a notch in the playoffs, and Nicks came into his own. hell, Manningham did too. The Cruz-Ballard show quickly became the 3 ring circus

          Reuben Droughns - '07

It should be enough to call him a hero for taking Tim Carter off our hands in the trade from Cleveland. He was a quiet contributor all season. Had 6 TDs and was effective as a short yard specialist. He played a greater roll on the O when filling in for an injured Ward and Jacobs. Wasn't as obvious in the playoffs because Bradshaw started to come on strong, but was a constant contributor on special teams all year.
          Thanks Reuben!

I wouldn't call this history (as it was just last year), but Hynoski...

Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

                          # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
                          2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
                          3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
                          4-New York Giants!!!
                          5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!
