  • Who starts at the 3rd receiver?

Who's the third to start the year. I think it has to be between Hixon, Barden, ang Jernigan because Coughlin never likes to start rookies. I think Hixon gets it though

I think Hixon is gone unless he is 100% and all the way back.
    Two bad injuries.
    I don't see it.
RB will be the 3rd WR.

I give the inside track to Jernigan. . .even though he's largely unproven, I just get a hunch he's going to get every opportunity and benefit of the doubt.

I don't think Jernigan will earn a #3 spot since he's purely a slot playmaker but he will be featured on 4 WR sets.

I think the #3 spot comes down to Hixon, Barden, and Randle. The biggest factor here will be how fast can Randle learn this complex offense because his physical attributes are superior to the other two.

I think this is Barden's make or break year. He has become the new Sinorice Moss for us...though he has seen more field time.

I think it's gonna b between Barden, Jernigan, and Randle. Hixon will probably become a kick/punt return specialist, as it will keep him on the field less due to his recent injuries. As for the other three, I think Randle will be the third and Jernigan will be the fourth in 4 Wide sets as a previous poster has mentioned. Barden will be used for depth.

We certainly got a ton of depth at WR, with alot of potential, even though Bardens may be just about running out(i'm looking wrong on that one..lol). Jerrnigans crazy athletic and extremly dangerous with teh ball in his hands, and hes versatile enough where we can do diffrent things with him, as far as where we line em up.. I just think the yr under his belt is gonna do wonders..

I guess in your case Jernigan is the three and Randle becomes the four. I dig it, let's goo!!

Re: Who starts at the 3rd receiver?

I was ready to see Victor move to the outside and put Jernigan or Hixon in the slot. But with our latest acquisition at wideout we can now put cruz back into the slot. We'll still have Jernigan on tap though, in case cruz actually does get on the madden cover one year...

I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite team in the NFL.

in 2 wr formations Cruz and Nicks

in 3 wr formations Randle and Nicks on the outside, Cruz in the slot

in 4 wr sets Randle and Nicks outside, Cruz JJ in the slots

And i suspect there will be certain sets designed for certain players. I think whoever the 3 and 4 are, they will get similar amount of snaps...

JJ could be very special in the slot...

with Bennett at TE, we will have a 1v1 matchup with one of our guys...aint nobody stopping this offense, NOBODY

This kid can really exploit the short, underneath part of the field, and gain plenty of YAC for us.. Hes very slippery and elusive when on the move, and very hard to center up and hit.. He can really frustrate a defense..

It's an "open competition" but let's not kid ourselves it's Rueben's job to lose....and let's just say he has that job stashed away in a very secure location.

R2 will be the #3 no question about it.

[/quote] Why is it ruebens to lose again? Its straight up in the air.. If Jerell Jerrnigan produces, hes gonna get the job.. We picked Jerrell not to far past where we picked Randle this yr.. I think its gonna be outta those 2, but i think Jerrell's yr under his belt is the diffrence...
