It is if you currently have 3rd rate. Refs are too comfy in their jobs, I especially like when they have to ask a player if they commited the penalty or not.

True indeed. I don't care who is a officiating as long as they do it by the book.
        Lets go, Giants!

That's the point, as bad as it seemed, replacements, especially recent college retirees, and semi-pro's (if the article is semi-accurate) would only be worse. Sometimes the evil you know is better than the unknown ones.

This is our chance... everyone apply for a position and if you get a game where the giants play, just call holding penalties on the opposing team every play...

I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite team in the NFL.

that is a flawed logic. you do not know what/whos better until you try both then compare.

every analyst and commentator i heard talk about the GB playoff game said it was the worst officiating they'd ever seen.

that 3rd and 2 run to Ware, that was the absolute worst ball spot i'd ever seen, like dramatically so.
and the fumble where the side judge closest to the play was overruled by some momo on the other side of the field?!?! and then we had to challenge and it was still ****ed up??

late hit on osi? just the absolute worst a ref can muck up a call was on full display for much of that game...u could put in a cactus at ref and get a better called game

No, but we are trained to think as people within our world that the more senior status you accumulate within your profession, and the more experience you have gained, the more aware you are of your position. Would you feel comfortable if your firm cleaned house and hired 20 entry level employees to start over with?

You are right that it is logical that one would think the more experience the better, however I do not think the NFL is going to hire "entry level" inexperienced referees. You may be right that these new guys do a worse job than the ones we currently have, however I am willing to take the chance after the terrible officiating that took place last year. I'm not just speaking about what happened to the Giants, overall it was the worst officiating I have ever seen and I have been a fan for 17 years.

The NFL has to do something to wake up the current crop of so-called officials. I say stir the pot and see what rises to the surface. I cant deal with another season of piss poor officiating.
