      Re: Deon Grant's Status

If no one signs him on and we dont sustain any major injury to our DB staff like last year he will Retire. However if we get a bit thin come late preseason then look for JR to bring him back in at the Vet Min
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

      # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
      2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
      3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
      4-New York Giants!!!
      5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

I can't remember where I read this but I did read an article saying that Deon Grant told a reporter that he expects the Giants to resign him....personally I don't see that happening..

Tell him to stay in shape, someone will need what he's got as the season progresses.
No one remembers who came in second.

Pity there's no room for him on the Giants. Great leader, and he can still play.

According to Grant, he said the Giants, Cowboys and Lions have contacted him. He confirms that if he comes back, it will be for vet minimum. Though Dallas denies reports of entertaining him at all.

He should ride out into the sunset with a SuperBowl ring...not too many players get the opportunity to leave on that note.
