  • Wilson over DJ WAre

I really hope they dont give DJ WAre second string spot this year over Wilson. DJ Ware has shown nothing since being on the Giants and without watching Wilson play a snap in the pros i already know he can get a lot more done for us but the Giants tend to let their draft picks sit the bench for a while but Ware is really not an option he is terrible. I would even have Scott over ware.

DJ Ware is good at one thing...converting 2 point conversions in the shot-gun draw. He's average at everything else. I'm hoping D-Wil takes the spot in preseason and runs with it...literally.

Hope TOM C and Gilbride put more emphasis on ESTABLISHING THE RUN!!! Get the boys up front physical from the start and love ELI off the play action. Love to run it and beat up the opposing D. Sucks the life from them. 2 championships in 4 yrs I think they know what works best but old GIANT FOOTBALL of running it and playing D is what I love best. BIG BLUE getting PUMPED. LOVE the PASS RUSH STAY HEALTHY ALL.

They obviously know what they are doing, We were last in in the NFL rushing last year, that needs to be fixed and we did draft Wilson who is to explosive not to use. Like i said we were last in the NFL, give it to Wilson Ware is not the answer. He is not going to fix this run game one bit. Im all about Wilson cant wait to see what he does in camp.

The coaching staff does seem to have some trust in Ware (He had a couple touches in the Superbowl), so it wouldn't surprise me if they brought Wilson along rather slowly....But make no mistake about it, he wasn't selected in the first round to ride the bench all season

Well hopefully he doesn't screw up one play, otherwise you can say goodbye to Wilson for the whole season.

You know how resistent Tommy is to forgive these rookies.

Well I am sure it's covered in this thread and has been in tons of other threads. He won't play unless he can protect Eli. Period. Thats one of the reasons Scott didn't play last year (besides fumblitis). Unless these guys prove they can protect Eli on passing down from pass rushers and blitzers then DJ will get the call. Then you will only see people like Scott and Wilson on obvious rushing downs. Defenses will know when those two are in it will be some type of running play if they can't block so TC just won't use them
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

              # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
              2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
              3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
              4-New York Giants!!!
              5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

Dead on. Here's what to watch in the preseason: does Wilson pick up blitzes/his blocking assignments well?

If he lowers his shoulder and can lock up linebackers, and looks like he knows what he is doing when standing next to Eli blocking, he will be the #2. It doesn't matter if he doesn't score one touchdown in the preseason. The only thing that may also hurt him is if he fumbles, but honestly i will not be looking at his running that much in terms of his depth position. If he can block, he will be #2. If it takes time, he will get eased into the role as the season progresses. That simple.
