  • Garrett's call cost Dallas a second win

Ice the kicker? Stats proved it is the wrong thing to do. More often kickers miss the first and adjust to make the second try, than the reverse.

However, when Garrett iced his own kicker last week, little did he know that he gave Coughlin the incentive to ice him again this week. And we'll never know if the kick would have been good or not. TY, JPP, for winning the game with that blocked FG!

Come on, like Coughlin wouldn't have called that timeout if last week didn't happen.

    EVERYBODY takes that timeout.

That's just it, they don't any more. Statistically, it is better not to take that time out.

Statistically, it doesn't matter if you take the time out. There isn't really a difference if you ice the kicker or not. I saw some stats on it not long ago, and the differences are negligible in almost every situatuation.

And let's not act like it was Bailey that missed the FG after the ice. JPP adjusted to how he was getting blocked by the guard, decided to go over center, and blocked it. That kick would have been good if not for the block.
