Yea, Witten is out week 1 as well. Big advantage for us with Boley being out.

It's Witten not Whitten forgive me. But really i think Jay Novacek just never stopped playing.

        Any news on Ratliff's status?

I hope not, but I trust the LB's we have. Kiwanuka, Rivers, and Blackburn can get the job done.

Cowboys NT Jay Ratliff (ankle) is expected to miss 2-4 weeks.

Ratliff is dealing with a high ankle sprain in addition to plantar fasciitis. The undersized nose tackle is a poor bet to be active for the Cowboys' Sept. 5 opener against the Giants. Aug 27 - 10:31 AM

Rivers and Williams can both cover Witten

I hope Boley plays; he has a knack of making big plays agaianst Dallas.

This means it's more likely Douglas will get snapped up by Dallas, if he hasn't already...

Why wouldn't Williams be ready? He's been practicing this week and last.

                              Laurent Robinson's replacement?

I think that would be the biggest reason to take him. If he can replicate Laurent Robinson's success last year.

Outside of that, where does Douglas fit in? Despite what the media keeps harping on, Dallas has pretty good competition at the third WR spot already and had to let go of 5th rounder Danny Coale (who did not get much of a chance due to injury) and a few other playmaking WRs.
