  • Nicks, Cruz, Manning looking to hurt Dallas again

    LINK

Excerpt: "New York Giants receiver Hakeem Nicks stood at his locker and didn't even wait for the question to be asked.

''I'm playing, period,'' Nicks said emphatically after being held out of Sunday's practice for the NFL kickoff Wednesday night against the Dallas Cowboys.

Just hours earlier there was some concern when Nicks rode a stationary bike as the Super Bowl champions stretched, and then he watched the workout.
Was the right foot that he broke this spring acting up?" Read more...

We will see the first couple of drives if he is ready to go, if not, I can see the Giants sit him down to prevent any further "long term" injury. Now what did everyone expect for him say, no I am not going to play because my foot is sore, really people.

Nicks is a baller! He will play and will probably have a good game.I wouldn't expect anything less out of a player, all true players want to play no matter how their body feels. That being said, if the coaches see something, they will probably sit him and bring in Barden IMO, since he's a bigger WR like Nicks. Then you could see Cruz, Hixon and Barden in there..

Having Nicks on the field means they have to account for him even if he's not 100%

That's what Amukamara is saying. Every player is different, they heal on their own timetables. Nicks believes he's well enough to go and play through whatever pain there is.

I'd sit him down. I want this game really badly just to set a tone early but we all know, its not how you start, its how you finish

or as coughlin would say..."it both".

Anyways, Im cool with Barden and Bennet stepping up. They aint no Nicks but one game wont kill us if we end up losing in a close game and I dont think that will be the case.

The one thing I will say is this, expect the ball to come out within 3 seconds of the snap so the Giants D need to be ready for that. Thats one thing the cowboys have been working on this offseason. A little bit of tight coverage could end up as picks if the giants are ready for it

NY GIANTS ... NY METS ... UNC TAR HEELS ... CHICAGO BULLS

Exactly, and if they fail to do so, he will make them pay!
