  • Substitute Referees

    Hello Everyone,

So fired up for football can't wait for the season to start. How do you think the substitute referees are going to do in the first real game of the year? Is it a big factor?

I think they will do fine. Not worried about them.

I just hope whoever wins does so without the benefit of the refs. That said, I think they will be fine, they do have their best "replacement" crew out there tonight. I'm sure there might be a few bad calls, just hope it doesn't change the outcome.

i think they'll do horribly. ESPN showed the resume of the head ref, he is a middle school Athletic Director (Glorified Gym teacher @ Middle School level), and he's a ref for Arena Football "2", which is half of a regular football field and 7v7 (IIRC about the 7v7 part)...aint NO WAY he's handling opening game @ Metlife/Giants stadium...experienced veteran refs can have serious issues with that let alone some guy from Idaho, LITERALLY. Nothing against idaho, but i'd guess the NFL is a diff ball game than Middle School Idaho lol. I mean it wont be a disaster...hopefully. And they shouldn't end up deciding the game...hopefully.

            They flat out stink
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

            # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
            2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
            3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
            4-New York Giants!!!
            5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!
