    Re: LT vs Ware

LT was maybe the best defensive player in the HISTORY of the NFL.

Ware isn't even close to the best defensive player in his playing career... that's what you tell him
"Once a Giant, ALWAYS, a Giant."

LT beat teams before the game started. After that he changed football.

Anyone who would even consider making such a comparison never saw LT play . . . .

                  Re: LT vs Ware

First off LT was a rookie in 1981. Second, the nfl didn't start keeping statistics on sacks until 1982. So right there is a whole year, give or take, worth of sacks that didn't even count towards LT's legacy.

                    Guy is an idiot.
No defensive player dominated and took over a game like LT did. Ware does not do that. LT routinely beat double and even triple teams to the QB to get the sack.
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

                    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
                    2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
                    3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
                    4-New York Giants!!!
                    5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

I don't think DC's make a whole gameplan around trying to stop D. Ware

Lat changed the way the game was played. Are is a very good player but to compare the two is silly and I don't even know why it would bother you so much.

youtube NFL networks top 100 hitters or somtething..LT is #3 and one former player said that when the DC drew up plays on the white board...when they used X and O's ... for lawrence they just wrote LT..so a bunch of X and O's then an LT hahaha they use to defensively gameplan for LT...demarcus ware is nowhere near LT . Hes very good but LT was elite and he IS a legend.

I think the comparison itself is closer than you guys think. I mean is there really any skill at which LT blows Ware away? Objectively, I think they're fairly close in ability.

But to me it's a lot like when people compare current NBA players to Jordan. You can compare stats and talk about how Kobe or Lebron can do some of the same things Jordan did, but at the end of the day you're not as good as Jordan because you're not Jordan.

I feel like it's the same thing with LT. Until you do what LT did for the position, you're not as great as LT.
