  • Rolle, Webster, Bernard, Boley & Nicks Not Practicing Today

    Art Stapleton ‏@art_stapleton
No Rolle, Bernard, Barden & KP at #NYG practice. Webster, Boley & Nicks on stationary bikes.

    Ralph Vacchiano ‏@RVacchianoNYDN
The good news? C David Baas, G Chris Snee, LB Keith Rivers, CB Jayron Hosley, RT David Diehl, CB Michael Coe were all working. #NYG

Typically, if injured players are going to play on Sunday, they'll practice on Thursday, so it doesn't look too promising for Bernard, Boley, and Nicks...I think Webster and Rolle will play

Rivers will probably start for Boley and its good to get some CB depth back with Hosley and Coe

I'm glad to hear Nicks is riding a bike. His knee hopefully is getting better.

Im ok with Nicks sitting out till we make our run at the end of the year.. :-)

We need to pass rush the hell out of Weeden though. Browns may be minus Cribbs and Hayden.
Life is like a Giants game, you never know what you are going to get.

Even if he was available to play i would use him very little. just enough to have him get a little work in. But not enough for him to reinjury something. I would much rather he sits out and puts his focus on returning for the SF game the following week.
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

        # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
        2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
        3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
        4-New York Giants!!!
        5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

What the hell happened to Boley?

Sometimes I feel like we should just blow the whole defense up. Keep JPP and Prince and start over with people who aren't so damn injury prone.
My 5 year old son right before the kickoff of the Super Bowl 46: Dad, are the Giants gonna win?

          Burier: Yes.

KP and Nicks we're going to miss the most. I hope Stevie is ready to do his best KP impression, and that Barden can step it up again as a Z while Hixon plays the X. Personally, I'd love to see Prince and Hosley both start... so I don't think we'll miss Webster that much.

I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite team in the NFL.

Agreed. Prince and Hosley have impressed me the most on the edges this season where Webster has been getting routinely abused.

You know Prince has been hurt quite a bit too..

The possibility of Webster missing the Cleveland game will most likely be a blessing in disguise ala Diehl missing the Panthers and Eagles games.

If you want to know the numbers behind Webster's season this year...

                        Bench Threatener of the Month

It’s strange to think that in 2008 Corey Webster (-7.6) was one of the best corners in football. He finished that year second in our rankings to Antoine Winfield and easily our highest graded corner in coverage, beating out a young Darrelle Revis for that honor. This year he has already given up 336 receiving yards and two touchdowns, is allowing 72.7% of balls thrown his way to be complete, and passers throwing in his direction currently have a rating of 126.1

Honorable mention: Kyle Vanden Bosch (DET), D’Anthony Batiste (ARZ)

The Giants are in such a state of flux right now in the on D. Subs in, DL not playing great, DBs in and out.
The Oline maybe shuffled around. Not that Barden is a threat but that depth may not be there.
They are all over the place and they are at home where they dont play as well.......usually

Webster being out is a good thing. He's a Touchdown waiting to happen. He's the 3rd best corner on the team right now.

Not sure who Eli is suppsed to throw too...I guess we will pretend we're the Patriots for a week.
