  • New York Giants reportedly have cars broken into

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100...headline_stack

Fresh from the high of a 23-3 domination of the rival San Francisco 49ers, some New York Giants players learned that their cars were burglarized in an East Rutherford, N.J., parking lot, NBC-4 New York reported early Tuesday.

State police spokesman Sgt. Brian Polite told NBC-4 that the burglaries happened between 4 a.m. and 4:20 a.m. Sunday. He said the team employed a security firm for the lot.

Polite said the thieves broke a lock on the gate to access the lot, and stole a 1996 Chevy Caprice, according to the report.

No player names were cited in the story, but offensive tackle James Brewer sent out this tweet Sunday night:

"Only in Jersey can someone be heartless enough to break into my car while we are in Cali making fans proud."

He probably has a lot of custom parts on it, meaning it was probably decked out. It had to have some type of appeal for the car thieves to nab it.

All those cars probably got computer chips where you need the key. You can pop the neck on a Caprice and start it with a screwdriver lol.

This is a little off topic, but what do you think now about hixon being a deep threat?

Nooo, I never got into a car and stole one myself but to be honest with you, I knew a few people who did growing up. Those sort of things were well known around the inner city. Plus if you didn't know a car thief, you knew somebody who got their car stolen.
