  • Ten Years From Now

Imagine ten years from now. No Eli, no Bradshaw, no Cruz, no Nicks, no JPP(or he'll be in the late stages of his career), no Osi, no Tuck, no Rolle, probably no TC, this list could go on forever. Yeah, this team is going through a rough stretch, but we have a great group of guys, lets enjoy it because there will be a time in the NYG's future that games like the Bengals game happen every week. It happens to every good team. It will happen to New England when Brady leaves, Denver when Peyton leaves, New Orleans. They'll regroup and come out strong versus GB after the bye. I bELIeve!

What causes you to lose hope in the human race?

Do you believe that these athletes are once-in-a-lifetime?

That there are absolutely no 12 year olds right now that will be as good as these players?

Yea I'm loving the times as well.

But have you no faith we could have better players than the likes of Rolle, Tuck, Osi, Bradshaw etc in 10 years?

we're not gonna suck in the future. Tuck and Rolles and Osis and Bradshaws are relatively easy to find.

JPPs and Elis? Those might be once in a lifetime players.

think about the dolphins and bills just as two examples. dan marino and jim kelly. both those franchises have been searching for true franchise QBs for over 20 years. Look at the Chiefs. Even worse. Jets?

those kinda guys are hard to find and can take you decades to replace.

Of course there will be but there's no guarantee they'll play for the Giants.

Teams don't stay successful (or bad) forever.

Or, we might end up like the Colts, who only took 1 year to find a franchise QB, or the Packers, who had Rodgers waiting in the wings when Favre was still around...

I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite team in the NFL.

10 years from now may be another upswing... its 5-6 years from now that has me worried.

I think decent QB are a lot easier to find now than 10-15 years ago. I doubt we'll get someone like Eli, but i'm sure he will be replaced by a formidable QB. It's the team that gets built around the QB that doesn't necessarily worry me. We have a good GM that will replace our incompetent coaches soon.

we can do what the colts did, put in a QB that they knew was terrible so they can lose all their games and get the #1 draft pick.

Teams are always replacing players, developing players, building and rebuilding. That's the way of sports. And life. Nobody plays the game forever.

As long as the front office is focused on winning and getting talent and keeping the "team-first" mentality, the NY Football Giants will be fine.
