  • what happens in 3-way tie?

    What happens in this scenario?
    1. Giants lose to NYJ then beat DAL
    2. DAL loses both remaining games
    3. PHL wins both remaining games.
Therefore, three way tie at 8-8. How is that broken and in this scenario, who wins the East?

Sad but Eagles win it based on best division record
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
    2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
    3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
    4-New York Giants!!!
    5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

So we can no longer lose to jets and still play a winner take all game vs Dallas. We would have to scoreboard watch for the skins to upset Philly

So we really need to beat jets next week to have destiny in our hands when we playmdallas. Plus should Dallas eliminate Philly we would need to win to keep from being eliminated as well. Have to go into that last game no more then a game down.

Everyone wrote off Philly and were talking about this giants Dallas winner take all possible game on jan 1 for weeks.. It looks like the giants and Dallas may be doing alot of scoreboard watching in what was supposed to be the game to decide who wins east

No. Because even if they take care of their own business, they need us to beat the Cowboys in Week 17. They don't control their own destiny.

The eagles still need help? Correct me if I'm wrong? They win out doesn't mean they get in. The Giants and Cowboys would have to go 8-8 also?

So if the Giants somehow still control their own destiny right? Win the last 2 and we still win the division? If we lose to the Jets, we'd still have a shot, but would need help. It's' all or nothing now. Pretty sad day today. I wish the rest of our games were on the road. We stink at home.

Correct. If we win out, we win the division.

For the Eagles to win the division, they need to win out and need the Cowboys to lose out.

                            the Dallas/Philly game does not matter anymore ;

if we lose to the jets we are eliminated.
if we lose to the cowboys we are eliminated.

if we win both , then Dallas and Philly are done. simple as that.
