Torain and Lumpkin had been free agents since the end of last season. If the Packers (or anyone else) wanted them, they'd have signed them.

If he was cut, I can't imagine that we wouldn't pick him up and dump Torrain or Blumpkin . . . . . .
I may be in the minority, but I always liked BJ. That being said, I doubt they cut him for fear of the 49ers perhaps having to face him come playoff time.

He really regrets being let go over that 500 grand....

I'd imagine he wouldn't be tip toeing if we got him and we ended up playing the 49ers in the playoffs...

I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite team in the NFL.

I wouldn't go as far as to say BJ is trying to be waived in order to come to the Giants.*

I most certainly would welcome him back this season.

Jacobs left here on good terms. He undersrands the business side of the NFL.

I'm not so sure about that. I don't think that he has a lot of value to any team but the Giants.

Probably the latter . . . .they bring in a guy late in the season who already knows their system.

Jacobs was a whiner with the Giants his last year and half with the Gmen....now he is whining like a little girl with the 49ers. Jacobs is gone after this year and NO TEAM will want this fool. Jacobs lasted longer in the NFL than anyone thought he would - time for him to face the facts and either shutup and HOPE some team might pay him the veteran minimum to be a 3rd team backup, or retire.

We beat the 49ers and now we are going to think about picking up BJ that cant make the roster no thanks.

In any event, I seriously doubt the 49'ers would waive him anyhow, knowing he fits a need that a potential playoff opponent has.

With Brown out and the refusal to even see if Wilson can be productive maybe you do dump someone and get him back, but there is no way that the 9ers take a chance of facing him in blue this year.

It really all just makes me wonder what the heck they (the 49ers) signed him for. It was still a lot of money to spend on a guy you have no intention of using.

Civil terms, but any time a man offers to dump salary twice, and eventually is released, you can't call that good terms if he genuinely wanted to be on the team.
