  • Falcons' Roddy White Misses Third Practice; Game The Decision Against Giants

    http://www.giants101.com/2012/12/14/...gainst-giants/

Excerpt: "The New York Giants have a wide variety of injury problems headed into Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, but they are not alone. The Falcons, too, have injury issues, including that of wide receiver Roddy White who has missed three straight practices this week with a knee injury.

"We’re going to be very cautious with Roddy in terms of getting ready for the ball game,” Falcons head coach Mike Smith said on Thursday. “He will not probably do a whole lot [Friday] or Saturday, and then we’ll get him out there on Sunday and see where he’s at. But it’s hard to keep Roddy White out of a football game.” Read more...

Considering their record maybe they will hold him out.

That's likely you would think. They would surely want him healthy for the playoffs

Especially since our top corner is out for this game... they have a little breathing room in that matchup.

So now when we beat them they can say they didn't have White and completely disregard us not having KP, AB, and Prince to name a few

We're going to beat them either way. I just think any team in their position would be wise to put one of their best weapons on hold if he's iffy.

Maybe but knocking the Giants out of the playoffs might help the teams psyche

True, but if that results in White backsliding, injury wise, what's the real benefit? It's a decision they have to make.

Logic would dictate to get your team healthy for the playoffs!

When have the falcons ever followed logic?

                      Interesting!

But im thinking that he will play until I see that he has been ruled out.

Considering their recent history in the playoffs every team would like to knock the Giants out of the playoffs and one loss might just do that.

Tough decision for the Falcons, do you risk injuring Roddy White more so, or do you go for the kill shot against a team (Giants) that is fighting for a playoff spot? I believe he will play, but in a limited role.

The Falcons should rest White. It's more important to be good in the post season than worry about home field advantage.
