      yup
that was the first Giant game I ever attended.
      Yankee Stadium Oct. 28 1962.
he also threw 7 touchdowns that day.
he was also injured that day and started the game terribly.

could have thrown 10 but they kept the ball on the ground.

my god that must have been amazing. I believe its an Nfl record. and for the time period its really amazing. today the rules are more pass freindly and still qb's here struggle to throw 200 yards per game.

Guys- lately, i have been reading up on 1950s and early 60s Giants teams..

Seems you guys were the team to beat in the late 50s..

Other than championship losses, you guys had quite the run there...

If the 58 championship achieved what is widely believed, I guess i owe a bunch to the G-men....and Colts..lol.

Really impressed with Rosie Brown story....Arguably the best lineman to play the game..Behind Hannah of coarse..lol.

my brain is full of useless knowledge from those day.
                  hahaha
those guys really put the sport of pro football on the map.
nobody really cared until the late 50s.
it was all baseball, boxing , and college ball

                    Most Touchdown Passes, Game 7

Sid Luckman, Chi. Bears vs. N.Y. Giants, Nov. 14, 1943
Adrian Burk, Philadelphia vs. Washington, Oct. 17, 1954
George Blanda, Houston vs. N.Y. Titans, Nov. 19, 1961
                    Y.A. Tittle, N.Y. Giants vs. Washington, Oct. 28, 1962
Joe Kapp, Minnesota vs. Baltimore, Sept. 28, 1969

Most yards in a game Norm Van Brocklin 554 yds.

What constituted for pass defense then is why a comparison between the

eras is folly. Even if it's used as nothing but to incite.

would have been hard to become a Giants fan in the 70s unless you were born in or forced.

I'm going to have to say the new draft picks, Tucker and Ernie Koy... 1965... although they had Chuck Mercein (Yale!!), Steve Thurlow, and Ernie Wheelwright at RB that same year.
