The fact that Diehl is coming back is bothering me. He really needs to retire

Because he's one of the few with a manageable cap hit.

Yeah, I think DD has one more year on his contract. Cutting him would be a roughly $3 mil cap hit in dead money, although he's due a $4 mil base, along with a $3 mil bonus(which is where the cap hit comes from) in 2013

Speculation, nothing solid yet and the Giants are pretty tight lipped about these things!

Restructure in the case of some of those (DD specifically) would probably mean a pay cut (rather than folding part of his salary into a signing bonus).

Not sure they'll let go of Boley, but considering our lack of depth at DT and that we just restructured Rolle last year, makes Boley an obvious cap target.

I don't see why Giants would cut Boley's snaps if they weren't moving on from him

If we can keep him dirt cheap, I say keep him. Vet Olineman, keep him as emergency backup OL. Depth is big. I also think CWeb should be kept as DEPTH, not a starter. Boley and Canty shound be cut if they dont want to play for cheap.

IMO the only way Diehl stays is if he takes a backup role with a new contract.

Bradshaw shouldn't be asked to restructure . He has performed great.

This is true, but restructuring is just prolonging the problem with some of these guys

Dead money either way. Cut him and take the 3 mil hit, it is cheaper and better for the team.
