Is Bob Papa the only play by play announcer of NFL teams who doesn't sound bias at all? He calls the opponents TDs just like he calls the Giants'

Wow. Just amazing. I can't believe what that episode just made me feel. That will always be the superior year when compared to 2011's championship. For me anyway.

Also, do they have an Americas Game for every Super Bowl or just from a certain year on? I'd be especially interested in the 86 and 90 seasons as I was born in 85 and, though proud of those teams and championships I would love to gain insights on those teams and seasons. It's so different seeing these championships happen in real time rather than just hearing about them or reading about them. I felt like the Americas Games did a good job of capturing a lot of these teams/titles I actually got to see happen so it'd be nice to get that from those late 80s/early 90s Giants teams.

Remember how SB XLIII (Steelers vs Cards) was ranked the best a few years ago? Completely fallen off the list now.

I never understood why people thought that was the best. The toe tap was cool, but the best? No way.

It seems to have disappeared from the online shops, so maybe an updated set with all 4 is coming....

Thanks! Kind of ashamed that wasn't my first try, but I guess I half expected the NFL would have any content like that pulled.

I guess ill ask some of the guys older than me that got to experience the 1st two championships first hand.....how did America's Game do capturing those seasons compared to actually seeing them happen? Did it evoke emotions similarly to the 2007 Giants episode or was it just an adequate representation such as the 2011 episode?

Yeah, but I was 1 and 5 when those seasons happened so I was curious from someone that saw those seasons how good of a job they did depicting and representing those teams/seasons

The difference is that those are retroactive and captured many years after the fact. I forget when they started the America's Game series but it's within the last 10 years or so. So "new" ones are done in the heat of the moment. Retroactive ones, like the Parcells era teams, are done with hindsight and I actually prefer it that way. By now we all know the stories of the 86 and 90 teams, or at least we think we do (some interesting closed-door revelations for the 1990 team) and you see how these guys still feel bonds to each other 20+ years down the road. Our recent two are done in the heat of the moment; I'd like to see it revisited 20 years down the road.

Like I said, by now we all know the storylines from a dozen different sources if we lived through it. America's Game puts a new perspective of personal touch on it.
