This is great for us. Probably a $3 to $4MM (maybe $5MM) cap hit this season

This is why he was priority #1:

Beatty allowed just 3 sacks and no hits on Eli Manning all season.

This brings the Webby and DD situations to the front. We are probably now back up against the cap.
I would expect to see those two pieces of drama dealt with soon.

Beatty was the only must resign this offseason. Everyone else is more easily replaceable.

Agreed, Webster has to take less money or get out. As for Diehl, I'd rather just cut him and be done with it

No doubt in my mind that he would stay. You dont let a franchise LT go.

Yeah I expect the same, I see the situation with Webster being dealt first, hopefully. Almost wish they let them two walk and addres those two problems through the draft and FA.

Yea all depend on how the deal is structure. I would imagine it is heavily back-loaded with teams thinking the cap will take a significant jump in 2015.

Great job Reese. This guy is a fantastic LT and he's going to finish his career as a Giant!

I assume you mean less money.
I would guess that one will be cut and the other take a pay cut. I would not be surprised if its not the one everyone here expects to be cut.

If Webster gets a paycut that will be awesome.
                                Diehl should get out.
